Oh Yeon Joo (Han Hyo Joo) gets sucked into Kang Chul (Lee Jong Suk)'s world in the manga that her dad draws. She meets the fatally injured and unconscious Lee Jong Suk for the first time on the rooftop of a hotel in the comic world. She runs to the restaurant kitchen downstairs to look for help. As a resident doctor herself, she is trying to provide first aid to Lee Jong Suk before the paramedics arrive. Based on his symptoms and conditions at the moment, she diagnoses him of having Pneumothorax and Lee Jong Suk would need immediate treatment on the spot. Will she be able to save him in the end?

Kang Chul (Lee Jong Suk) is a former Olympic gold medalist in shooting and self-made millionaire. How will his world intertwine with Yeon Joo’s other-dimension universe? Is Kang Chul the only person who can help Yeon Joo escape from a parallel universe? “W” is a 2016 South Korean drama series directed by Jung Dae Yoon.

It is called tension pneumothorax, where the air that is already come in cavum pleura can't get out from it. The management that Hyojoo performed is already good, it is called needle decompression. Even tho there is no enough equipment, she managed it by breaking the pen and make it sharp as possible so it can penetrate to Jongsuk's body. The location is in SIC 2 linea medioclavicularis.

I see pneumothorax in most of dramas accidents and when i watch a drama with that kind of injury i just knew that it was pneumothorax and it should be stab with a tube or something. Now I’m learning something in just watching kdramas. Its useful in my future practice when i get into med school....

She did this same thing in Happiness as part of her training...but Oh yeon joo and yeon sae beom are sooo different that it's shocking...such a great actress she is!!
Repeating the scene after 8 years of watching the drama at that time i wasn't even a med student now i remembered it when i was studying pneumothorax and i feel proud that i sow this in a drama korean drama have some advantages after all🥰

Omggg the same thing happened to me. I suddenly remembered this particular scenes while I was studying for my exam. At first I though that it was cardiac tamponade and that she performed percardiocentesis but thank God my diagnosis was wrong because when I played this clip I realized it was tension pneumothorax 😅.
Lee Jong Suk’s acting is perfect👏🏻This is sooo difficult to act drying breath...🤩
