Yes, he did back then. More recently, Black has gained weight and Yngwie has lost a lot of weight.

Here we are in 2022 (almost 2023)... Blackie and W.A.S.P. still going!!! A new album will be dropping in 2023

The camera angle is weird... his legs look HUGE!! he looks like he's way back there,but his legs are up close!? I feel like I'm tripping or something?

One kick ass band... Listened to them as a child and it was pure ' none boring' adrenaline metal at its best!!!

It's ironic how an intended solo record, is now the most celebrated and accomplished Wasp album to date. The Crimson Idol is a true milestone in the metal genre. Up there with the greatest records

1993 was a bad year for bands that thrived in the 80's.

Quality music never dies. And that's what Wasp has. Quality music.

One of the few bands who stayed true during grunge.he still writes like its 83. If other bands had stayed true history would be very different.

W.A.S.P. stay classic always, its immortal, debut come always been band so saying, masterpiece! I keep this band since 80's, world shock glam 'rock' metal band ever, this band style scares shit out of me in 80's, image was so powerful and makeups, specially makeups, also band is evil reputation.

Blackie saw the writing on the wall at this point for bands that refused to change from the 80s excess into something a little more thoughtful. This was his attempt to stay relevant amidst the grunge movement. Little did he know that by the end of the following year, with the suicide of Kurt Cobain, Grunge would officially be dead anyway and fans would then be thinking twice about how seriously they should be taking their music and how important it is to have fun again. Unfortunately, the collapse of Grunge brought about a rise in alternative "metal" that we now know as "Nu Metal". At the time, it seemed like a mixture of Grunge, Funk, and a little bit of the 80's mixed into a blender. I'm sure anyone lost in all that mess would have been kicking themselves for donning a flannel shirt and becoming resentful of their fame.

Also marching into 2015 with a new album coming out. Could be titled Golgotha - Blackie did an interview, well, press conference in Sweeden in 2014 and stated that the new album might be titled Golgotha

94 and right in the middle of grung and alt ruling music. 91-95 was a interesting time in music I think. Sadly my fav 80s metal bands were dying out.

Headless, he knew he couldn't continue with Chris anymore. True, Blackie knew he could no longer steal from Chris without him finding out! He NEVER put Chris's name on any publishing filed with the record company. Although on most songs, Chris was a co-writer! Half way through the Headless tour Chris found out & left the band. Blackie had to beg him to come back to finish the tour. Blackie is a great songwriter/singer but hes shit as a human being!!!

How can anybody comment about Blackie? He might be a jerk, he might be a professional. Unless you know him personally, how can you call him names? Have you guys heard Chris Holmes material? How can anybody say Chris was the talent that Blackie ripped off? Seriously? Chris is my favorite rythym guitarist of all time and he is almighty bad ass but Blackie is THE vocalist. I've been in bands and it's hard to stay together. Reasons after reasons. I dont think that anybody has the right to pass judgement on anybody.

Love both Blackie and Chris so i can't pick a side. I can just " judge" on behaviour and how things are dealt with.🙂

The Headless children was by far the best album they ever did. Is a metal masterpiece. The Crimson idol was ok. But to me isnt as good as the Headless children.

Blackie is the complete package. Smoking hot!

What you thought would be end of W.A.S.P. was really just the end of a 3-yr relationship that had almost resulted in marriage... The inspiration for songs like "Keep Holding On"... Wonder what happened between the sombre themes of heartbreak and closing old chapters in SNBE and the bitter, venomous bile that was KFD.

Yea W.A.S.P is pretty kool..I like the old stuff..right up to crimson idol..last cuts..that's bout it..

Read the liner notes to the 95 record "Still not black enough", that will tell you his state of mind at that time. I guess he had his "dark night of the soul" after The Crimson Idol and some rough years after that. Now, the album "KFD" is the next step in the process. Really interesting to see the progression there...

Still Not Black Enough was almost a BL solo release but I guess he felt that was a bit more of a return to the W.A.S.P. brand & formula, and so that's the name it was released under... I'm thankful for that. But now with that Golgotha and Re-Idolized? Yeah, maybe NOW it's time to start recording under another name. Unless "W.A.S.P." now stands for "We Are Saintly People"?

Headless Children is fantastic. "Lost Child" is one of my favorite metal tracks ever. Chris and the band in general hit a grand slam with that tune.
