VW TOUAREG 7L FRONT BRAKE DIY...TAKE 2
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
TAKE 2!
Yes this was uploaded earlier today but one legend watched until the end then realised that half the video was missing 😅 my bad guys!
DIY TIME!
The family car is very much due for the front brakes to be replaced and what better excuse to make some content!
So this covers brake rotor and pad replacement for the V6 3.0 TDI with the Brembo 4pot caliper set up found on the 7L Touaregs/Cayenne of the same platform.
Big thanks to my local Repco for the parts!
Thanks for watching and hope you enjoy!

Appreciate the feedback mate!
Touareg owner here. Just had rotors and brakes done due to shaking while braking. Was great for 1K miles then started again. Brake shop says they’ll use parts warranty and replace the rotors again but feels like there’s something they must be missing. Advice appreciated

I'd take them up on the offer for new parts. If the shaking returns then I'd be looking at bearing or bushes

they must bleed the caliper as they reset the piston, a lot of shops dont know this on VW / Euro cars and then the system will constantly have the brakes engaged and or grabbing causing MPG issues and burning smell when you're done driving.
Do you open the brake fluid cap reservoir while retracting the pistons? Or bleed them as you push them in?

bleed as you push in then, do a system bleed.
