Mixing fuels is a very common problem, my friend's daughter did it the other way adding diesel to a gasoline engine. She did notice having a hard time fueling up w/ nozzle been bigger than gasoline but it did not stop her.

We used to love these problems because we all got half a tank of free fuel in our gas burners that run on 87, simply fuel up the remaining half with 89 or 93. If you manage to catch it quickly up to 10% gasoline seemed to be un noticeable, above 20% gas it had noticeable power loss and pre ignition when under load. But man you really have to clean out the tank because that gas will sure as snot kill any algae and loosen any waxy trash buildup causing it to fall off the sides and settle into the pickup clogging it and the in line filters. Keep up the videos, go team bob :)

@@stanevolodge The car is a diesel. The 2nd pour was diesel. The diesel semi truck in Terminator 2 that exploded was diesel. What was in the tank was just enough diesel to run, but enough gasoline that it would die after awhile.

Regarding putting in the wrong fuel, I pulled into a self serve once with my Jetta TDI, and started pumping in diesel fuel. The cashier, a young woman came running out to me in a panic yelling at me that I was putting in the wrong kind of fuel. I had to explain to her that my car runs on diesel and that I know what I'm doing to get her to finally calm down and stop talking to me like I was a child.

that scenaio happens to lots of diesel car drivers. Best reply I've heard so far is "these Vw's just quit running if you dont put a 2-3 gallons of diesel in every 100 miles or so."

your welcome. Actually two more edited! Both uploading now!

All three of my ALH Jettas are now "crank, no start. Two leaked out the injection pumps within a few weeks of each other. Reseal "on the engine" didn't work... neither will draw. Vacuum pump doesn't seem to pull enough. Draws fine from the tank, and out the fuel filter with the pump.

Thats a cool idea to test if diesel fuel in tank by lighting it too see if petrol in fuel

Work as mechanic but never ever thought of that lighting it especially if out on breakdown we usually used a emission tester down filler neck to test for hydrocarbons if has petrol in fuel if in at workshop

What was the mistake? How many bars should there be from the fuel filter at idle?

What do you do with the contaminated fuel?

We process it inside our "Mr. Fusion" to power the "flux capacitor" in our Delorean.

2014 VW sports wagon injection pump imploded, changed everything in entire fuel system cleaned tank! Know no start, what the heck am I missing?
