Just repaired mine 68 Reg T30 .. was ok after watching a few videos, I'm a complete novice took my time so took about 3-4 hours , so worth it tho than spending £240 on a complete new from VW 😊

I reversed into the workshop and the mirror broke just a few days before it was due its test. My father in law van and I broke it in front of him.

Best one at the moment. Very usefull

This looks a bit fiddly with potential to break clips etc. Can I ask how long it took you?

Not long maybe a little over an hour.

What's the name of that metal part that needs to be changed? I am in the same situation that it broke.

I'm not too sure of the name but I looked it up and it says a wing mirror gear bracket. Hope you get sorted out.

It's easier to take the door card off and unplug the aerial, than to cut and join the wires

Do you mean the inside door panel .... would be handy to see this being done before I start doing mine.....looks hard.
