In this video I go through the simple process of replacing the gasket for the vacuum pump on my 2.5TDi VW transporter. This is relatively straight forward to complete and shouldnt take more than 15 minutes, however it is a little bit fiddly and like most things, a bit of patience helps.
Only a 13mm ring spanner and 13mm small socket on flexi elbow.
As I show in the video the aftermaket gasket I got wasn't big enough and I ended up getting an OEM gasket from my local VW van centre dealership.
v 075 145 117C this is the part number for the replacement gasket.
Its not just a how to, theres also a little tip for making it easier when it comes to installation.
