Keep Em coming

40 years ago I welded my first car when I was 17 & discovered you can repair corrosion & accident damage, but other peoples bad/ poor/ pretend attempted repairs are very difficult to correct.

I’m starting to find that one out unstiching a original panel is far more easier then having to uncover what’s been repaired this is my first so the test will be in time I guess but it’s how we all learn I suppose thanks for watching 👍

I'm not being rude, 20 years experience doing this specialising in vws done a lot af t25s, currently doing one, it maybe scary but just grow a pair a chop it out, a lot of good panels available and for the time you spend pissing around making little pieces you actually end up saving or equal in cost and end up with a better job and the rust not coming back, personally I'd of chopped the whole bloody roof off and got a donor to replace, working my way trough the layers and then reversing that building it back again(obviously welding in bracing and checking measurements first) good luck with it chop it out!

I don’t take it as rudeness I’m not a panel specialist I’m a mechanic so just winging it mate,what I’ve done there I’m happy with and it’s done now if it comes back in the future I’ll definitely give a full roof a think about but I’m I just don’t know where I would start getting a donor roof thanks for watching

Also when you look from the inside the only bit that was rotten was that side the rest of the roof still has the factory paint on I think it’s from when it’s been popped up and stood maybe I don’t know all I know it’s practice 🤙🏼
