Very straight forward. Doesn't matter "How" you get it done (if time and effort aren't a factor); just matters that it gets done right. Nice job bud.

a snapped bolt which based on his advertisement you should replace the whole part, extracting bushes without a press or a proper extractor there is thew risk of bend the bushes hole, if you dont have proper tools next time better try heating the part, it make the rubber and the nylon easier to come put and dont risk to bend anything vital...

Thaks for watching! You'll definitely appreciate the brake upgrade. Once you start to add power to these cars, the brakes starts to become a weak point. Yea, stay tuned for the rebuild l.

Hi mate, if you ever come across another bolt like that, in future loosen & tighten the bolt until you get it off. Loosen till you feel high resistance & and tighten half or full turn. Eventually you'll get it off & then happy days
your videos are quality. subscribed 👍

Very nice. Thank you. Never place your meat in front of the blade.
What size socket did you use for pressing the bushing out of the control arm rear mount?
Can you please tell me what is the difference between the yellow or the purple silent blocks that i found on internet for my car.i have seat altea xl freetrack 1.4 tsi 2011.i didn't find red as yours.what is the ideal?i must change and the silent block from the antiroll bar? thank you very much

That part is called the subframe bracket. I added the part numbers in the description, so it's easier for others to see it as well.
You wouldn't happen to have the control arm bolt part numbers by chance would you? Did you buy the hardware as a kit or individually? Were your old bushings shot? What did it feel like that caused you to replace these?
What do you call that part that broke the bolt
hacksaw for the front rubber safer and faster
Man, if you have the auto transfer you have to lower the crossmemwnr thing and loft the teans and shit. Not sure why they dosnt juat put the bolt in the other Dire tion there is plenty of room
Careful with the razor man !
M/T drivers have it so easy. Us DSG drivers got to drop so much more shit just to get a bolt out.
Will this be the same for the MK6 Jetta S manual? It's so hard to find anything on my car. 😮💨 It shakes at higher speeds but 2 different shops confirmed the only thing bad on the vehicle is the bushings. Not bad for 200k though. It's vibrated since the day I bought it at 60k even after completely new rims and 3 different sets of tires.

Yea, bad bushings will only get worse. Yes it will fit on the Jetta.

@@AltruisticWarrior Yea, make sense. Since you'll already be removing the lower strut anyways. Much respect, thanks for checking out my videos👍🏽
Any idea why my acceleration has a jerk to it after replacing the control arms? For some reason, it is less noticeable in Sport/Manual than it is in Drive

I'd suggest going over the bolts and make sure everything is tight.
Hi, when you say that if you break the bolt (or if it's corroded) you will need to replace this "part". What is that "part" called? My vehicle bushes are worn/bolts corroded so I will need to replace that "part". I just don't know what to call it.

It's called the subframe bracket.
What's your honest opinion on these cars would you consider them to be reliable?
@CraftyWorkshopBuilds
2 жыл бұрын
Yea, I do think they can be reliable if you address the common problems.

I have the 2.0 S with a manual trans. Mine has been extraordinary in reliability. To date at 200k I've only had to replace a rear door lock, oil cooler and this little vacuum line piece that was 30 bucks. I can't say the same for turbo charged or automatic vehicles but mine has been great. Getting ready to swap out the blower motor and resistor as it's finally showing signs of dying but really. Doing all the work myself it's less than 500 bucks. Not bad for a 10 year old car with that many miles.
Does it require a new alignment?
