LOL at the timing of this video release. I lol'd because I myself, just changed the oil a couple of days ago on my Audi. I bought myself an oil extractor(Only $100 dollars), so that I can easily do it in my garage without having to lift it or get underneath. Because I usually have it done at the dealership. But this time around they wanted $175 for the oil/filter change ONLY.. I was like, Umm I may as well buy the oil myself and buy an extractor.

Sadly, prices are going up really fast. At least in my country in general prices are about 30% up from last year. My salary increase got no way near that. So, I'm starting to do more and more myself. Time is the only problem. Just not enough of it...

@@Kiss__Kiss those extractors dont collect all the gunk etc, tbh its best to lift and remove the plug

huh .... never knew about the hoes thru the dip stick tube..... i remember a mechanic telling me once that there a hole in the front of my engine cuz i told him my oil is leaking .....guy didnt realize im a backyard mechanic, turned out the oil was leaking because the place where i had it changed didnt screw the oil filter on tight and it was very loose. when i checked it after the salesmen machanic wanted to charge me a hefty fee for fixing the hole in the front of my engine

Sometimes I think mechanics need to pass some lie test to be hired. If they don't lie at least once to each customer, they are not "good" enough. Glad you fixed the "hole" yourself 👍🏻

Yes, agreed. Sadly, my father was near and kept insisting to use the wrench. I used minimum force, but might still curse at myself next time it needs replacing.

This is complicated job I will be do more faster dry oil from sum plug fro oil pan You are not professional

Well, obviously I am not professional 🤯🤯🤣🤣🤣 I like this method way more than lifting the car and draining from underneath. But it's your choice. If you like that more, than do it that way
