very nice test and actually i m a bit surprised, 23,5 kw/h at -15°C is way better than i thought it would be.
Seems good to me. Also the charging speed, if it wasn't preconditioned and at -12C then 80kw at 25% is a big improvement over old IDs
My test on 6 Dec 2023 in Finland: 260 km with 78 km/h (on main roads, only some motorway), temperature -11C. Consumption was 19,2 kWh/100 km. Conclusion: speed is a very big factor on consumption.
Nice test; Nice Performance. KUDOS to VW🎉
Wow, I think that's a great performance at the speed you have driven at those cold conditions. Looks like 18-19kwh/100 km when at temperatures of around 15-20 degC.
thanks for this.
Seems like a reasonable result for a big saloon car. I got similar for my Polestar smlr driving from ski trip, -15 degrees and 21.5 kWh/100km. ID7 looks like a very nice car 👍!
Bra kanal
Will you be testing the new ID4 GTX 2024 model with all improvements? :D
Like that Rims. There not Standard?
And you are riding with non standard / non aero rims. Could easily add a few % as well (I guess it are 19" wheels, so impact would be limited)
Hi Kris, does this car have a heat pump? Maybe in Norway it is standard. I am planing to buy a ID7 next week and it would be interesting to know if you had a heat pump running. My Cupra Born has one but I haven't seen much of an advantage at least not worth 990€ what is the price in Germany for a heat pump. For 990€ I get around 3960 kWh (my average price per kWh for 1.25 years with the Cupra Born). The consumption is as you said very good and the charging speed too.

In Finnland the heat pump is standard. So I assume that it is also standard in norway
Results are pretty good. This goes to show that if you live somewhere that gets a bit chilly in the winter, you should order the car with a heat pump. If this was not highway driving, the car would have probably covered around 400km.
Cool, you have the ID.7 before Teslabjørn who plays with gimmicky Hifi-car 😅 But I notice it has no aero wheels?
Trust me, if we ever had -10 daytime temperatures in the United Kingdom the whole country would come to a standstill!!
I think they should put the bigger battery inside already 😇
To continue: this car had a heat pump. After my 260 km drive the car showed 130 range left, so the total range would have been appr. 390 km.
På norsk vær så snill 😅
If we will be realistic, I think most owners will get about 270-280 km before they take the car to a charger under that conditions!?😳 (Few of us drive the car to zero like you, you know😳😉😂)

I rather think that most people can drive longer than that with a fully charged id7. There are few places where it is possible to drive 300km at a constant speed of 120km/h and -10 to -15c° (at least in the Nordic countries). I drove on Sunday Stockholm - Öland round trip 840km with a temperature of -3 to 5c° average speed 92km/h and consumption 22.3kWh/100km (id4 1st pro). I drive an EV so like I drove my previous petrol/diesel cars don't necessarily stop and charge only when I'm low on soc, but stop on long journeys where I know they have good food and coffee and I'm hungry.
