I'm the R32 owner the gear changes are not me it's had a DQ500 RS3 box swap and is on EMU Black on the engine side we didn't have enough time to dial it in properly, in manual mode I should have full control but it would short shift itself on some shifts then another shift hit the limiter and will not change up when I pull the paddle unless I back off! Launch control is also not working properly i need more time I will be back when it's dialed in 😬

Sequential pattern won't help if he will keep driving with opened window and will keep losing the speed because of air resistance..

Didn't win overall but the Mk2 wins the day for me. Top bloke and drove the wheels off it. Mk7 putting hazards on without doing anything other than stamping his foot on a throttle - shithouse.

That mk2 is 🔥 and the driver certainly knows how to drive it. #save the manuals

Vr6 it's one of best sounding 6 cylinders to me. I wish they still made that engine.

There's no doubting the capabilities of the MQB platform but you gotta shout out that Mk2 because it sounds nuts, looks well put together and you know it'll be a mental blast around the B's or on a track. The driver was having the most amount of fun of the three and was only driving in a straight line. Feature please! OG, as always, nice 😎

Man all three cars are sick as, I’d love to see the mk5 running with the gearbox issues sorted out. The mk7 as usual continues to prove to be an incredibly capable platform and that mk2 is just a work of art such an awesome and fast car for a manual. I wouldn’t wanna change it but just imagine how fast it’d be with a dsg or even a sequential box 🤔🫣

3 awesome machines but the Mark 2 wins all day for me! The looks, the sound, the build and the fact you actually have to drive it! Robert is the best driver here imo too, those launches were savage! Some great racing!

MK 2 WAS CRAZY CONSIDERING ITS A MANUAL

Awesome build and driving of that MK2 by Robert. I did some coding work on his previous MK4 Golf R32 but this MK2 is another level.

Great video as usual very good races 😎🚀, love the mk2 golf launch 🚀💪, Luke’s golf has lots of potential and just shows how fast it is with only having a few weeks of tweaking etc of the car be good to get Luke back on again when it’s at its true potential 😎💪🙌. Excellent races. The Mk2 is my favourite amongst them, the 5 then 7. The mk5 sounded the best in the rev off, more like a 5 cylinder I thought. The facial expressions on mk7 driver were hilarious. All 3 are beasts. Well done to all of you.

I have wanted to sell my mk7.5r for the past 6months just to buy a r32 and turbo one of those. This does not ease my need for mk5 r32 turbo. Sick video!!!

I mapped the Mk2 recorded 600 bhp a year or 2 ago in a different chassis... be interesting to get it back on the dyno and see what it makes... will set up gearbased boost to sort the launch and enable flat shift and Launch and come back to it.... epic video Jamie ill be seeing you soon 😉

Im a MK2 guy so Mk2 all day long. The sound of it is nuts. It looks the best. Proper shifter. Considering the guys never launched it or raced it. Massive hats off to him.

Great video, some people get a bit sour over golf r. Because they do everything well. We all want to be fast. And truth is dsg helps that. You have to own one to appreciate them. I would have another. Mk2 tho off the line, he lift his clutch its going, unfortunately dsg boxes still deciding how much clutch pressure to apply. I like all 3 cars for different reasons. Great cars 👍🙏😁
