Hi Aron For a 2011 VW Golf 1.6 TDI Diesel, you need to choose the right type of engine oil that meets the specifications recommended by Volkswagen. Here are the details you need to consider: Oil Specification: Look for engine oil that meets VW 507.00 specifications. This is crucial for ensuring compatibility with the vehicle’s diesel particulate filter (DPF). Viscosity: The viscosity grade commonly recommended for this engine is 5W-30. However, it's always good to check your owner's manual for the specific viscosity grades that may be appropriate for your vehicle based on operating temperatures. Full Synthetic Oil: It's advisable to use fully synthetic oil as it offers better protection and performance, especially in modern engines. Brand Recommendations: While many brands manufacture oils that meet VW 507.00 specifications, some reputable brands include Castrol, Mobil 1, and Liqui Moly. Thanks for watching
