Ive got a 1963 ragtop bug that Im looking to restore. I'm not sure if its an original ragtop or not... does anyone know how to tell? And where can I buy an entire new ragtop assembly?

about how much does a beetle drink per 100kms? my aunts husband has a mid 60's beetle which had only one owner (aunts husbands grandma) it was nearly mint in the body, now after like 5-6 years of sitting its green in mold and algies but still relatively rustfree. real shame id do anything to restore that nice old bug, or "Bubble" as we call it in Sweden. ;)

Koen577 i like the lowered look , but if you need to narrow the front axle and camber the shit out of the rear in order to fit tires , that just looks dumb . my first car was a 69 beetle i bought back in 89 , i'm selling my 2003 wrangler and looking for a 73 ,74 beetle ,i like the look of the older ones but want the proper front suspension from the super beetle .

+jerry henderson Then what you want to get is either a super bug or a standard unless you don't mind doing major body frame mods to fit the macpherson struts on a standard.
