not a big fan of timelapse vids but the way you put all that together mate with some banging tunes and some awesome and hard work on the caddy just had to replay it a few times over mate. 👍

I prefer hands on videos to, I see a lot of other build videos and they do a montage of Timelapse and they seem to do well so thought I’d try it out 👍. Glad the tunes are ok it’s taken me 2 years of searching for non copyright music to have in the vids. Thank you for the comment bud 👍

Hey Brian thank you for that mate appreciate the comment, I’ve seen on the internet people have fitted a tailgate in place of the barn doors. I’ve half got my eye open for the later style tailgate 👍

Turning my 2007 Caddy into a camper. I've got some bog jobs I need to do and I'm thinking of painting it army green so it's harder to see in the bush.

Any pointers on coding the touran headlights? Got the same on my 2012 and want both beams to stay on.

When you swapped the engine to a 2.0 was it straight forward, did it fit straight in , as in you didn't have to cut the inner wings out or anything like that did you

the 04-10 was a much more solid feeling van, notice by the weight of the doors in the newer one it feels like a Peugeot! The facelift to this and rear lights is the perfect combo to one hell of a solid van - then bkd her up - what more could you possible need? amazing stuff! love it

Hey bud I havnt drove the facelift one but you describe it well (Peugeot) that would be lighter, flimsy and just not as solid. I will get the later lights for sure 👍 BKD is my favourite 4 pot engine.

​@@YTDTETVstick with your's, for a 55 plate she's a beauty now - great job with all of it too, you know your stuff! All the extra bit's make it the part - every caddy usually has a rear dent! They definitely are flimsy and no where near as solid. i do love the newer cega cr170 torque machines but the injectors go a lot quicker on them too and in the cr caddys too, defo a bit softer - pd all the way!

@@theonlykingclayton thank you I’m really happy , I definitely wanted it to look as mint as possible, your right about injectors on the later ones I see almost daily on the Facebook pages another CR engine with an injector down.

Hi I got a caddy conversion. Having trouble with headlights passing mot. Apparently there is a left hand and right hand version headlights. Do I have to alter any of the loom for this or can they just be adjusted?

Hey bud sorry for the delay 👍 thank you for the kind words. I had done some research on what looks good on caddy’s before even buying one so I had a rough idea on what I wanted. I knew it could look nice but I wasn’t sure until it started coming together. I did get other ideas for the van from going to caddy meets etc and then adding to my van. I’m a mechanic by trade and do a little bit of paintwork am happy that I’ve built the whole van myself rather than just buying it 👍 appreciate the comment

Hi bud so it’s a case of fitting the ends of the touran inner wings as they have the bit for it to clip onto, I didn’t know this when I done my conversion.

does the van lose its ability to be insured and taxed as a commercial vehicle with the addition of a crew cab row, will it still pass nct / inspections or will they fuss about 'safety' and lack of airbags etc.

Hi Robert thank you 👍 it’s just a case of sending the logbook to dvla but.. I’ve done this on multiple cars in the past and for some reason it still comes back with the same colour. It’s only when it’s mot’d it then goes through being a different colour.

Hey David thank you 👍 I used a 2k solid gloss paint from eBay. It’s a single stage so the shine is in with the paint rather than have to clear coat over the top.

What paint you have used for spraying interior parts?

I used normal base coat from the RAL colour scheme. You would need a paint guy to make it up for you.
