Hey Stephan, Thanks for watching and welcome aboard. Your Comet is coming a long. I just watched the Alternator Swap, I'm think I'll do that with my old 1940's Ford Ferguson Tractor.

You can do it! The stuff is sticky, so small pieces worked for me. That first piece owned me... Than it went easy after that.

Good day Larry. I really enjoy watching your tech videos, I find them inspiring. Over the years, I've kept a lot of "how to" & "tech" articles on the type 2. Like those, I will keep at least three of your ideas for when I finally get my hands on a 67 or earlier bus, Lord willing. Just a couple of thoughts on what you are doing in this video. First, these are only my opinions, please bear that in mind. The head banger, you could run fender beading to cover the gaps, perhaps. Have you thought about making a small access door for overhead storage, using the " keep it simple" sign you made. Well regardless of these thoughts, I like what you're doing. You have a definite "on air personality" for what you're doing. P.S. a couple of days ago we had -35.5C here, cold enough to watch your nose hairs brake off & float away with each breath!🥶

Thanks for the kind words. I just got back from a colder climate, in the 20s Fahrenheit at night. Not -35c, but enough cold to make it fun. As for the headbanger, I plan on installing a light and a removable fan.

bro.. I am trying to find the best way to make the same. but so far I am failing.. if you see my last video shorts, you will see where I failed. I think i must find another material or something because its getting cracked overnight

November, Hot to freezing , life in the Mojave Desert.

Now, when the roof of the bus gets hot would the smell of tar fill the inside.

I think it’s important to make sure you use Butyl rubber backed aluminum and not tar. Roofing material in a bus will likely off gas stinky fumes, but butyl seems to go on with no fumes. Did this to my bus ten years ago and all good. I used Second Skin sheets. Not sure if they’re still around…
