Replacing the Pertronix ignition after it failed on me.

Even with a Electronic ignition still carry a set of points and condensor with you. All you need is a screw driver. You can use the top of the box that the points came in to set your points to .016. That will atleast get home. I always carry a set of points,condensor, fan belt in my tool box in the car.

You didn't show a close up of the dist when you put on the magnetic bushing, so now I have to ask: how did to get it down past the thicker part of the rotor shaft?

Munitia Blastpaw if memory serves, it was a super tight fit to get it on. I think I slipped a socket over and beat it on with a hammer. I didn't change it in this video, I left the old one on. I hope this helps!

Here are either 36 mm Dellortos or 40 Dellortos. Either way, I have 34mm venturis.

What kind of fan shroud is that?

George Villalba it's a DTM V2 shroud. Used to convert a type 4 engine from the flat bus style cooling to upright to fit in a bug. Search the type4store if you want to check them out.
