Is this enough to stop leakage? I red that only way for sure to stop it from leaking is to add second crush gasket seal like RKX brand "life time" seal kit. cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1489/0528/products/New3.2logoLIFETIME_1024x1024.jpg?v=1617115943 The problem is i can't find any Europe and shipping from US is too expensive.

@@justas5991 It worked for us. We haven't used the other kit so cannot comment on that particular one.

When I get a new gasket, do I have to use new cover screws? Can I leave the old one?
Appreciate you for posting up this video, found oil around it and the HPFP. Only thing I can think of is a vacuum leak.
Nice video. Just did mine on my '08 B7 A4. Wouldn't recommended lubing the rings with oil though. I just left them alone and installed with no issues.
Thank you for this video it was very helpful.....i did it myself

Hello, do you have a torque specification for the bolts on the cover please ?
Does anybody know where the second hose is connected to The one that he unplugged is connected to the pump but where is the other connected to?
Can check it vcds how i now if it leak ?
can you tell me the seal numbers or any dimensions
Great video, fantastic tutorial. My wife's TT has small leak from here. Is it possible it could be just from the cover plate? Just wondered if worth replacing just that seal first. Thanks

Yes it could just be the cover, it can be hard to tell exactly though. You should be able to replace the seal for the cover without removing the pump from the engine.

Hi there Steve was it the cover in the end. I have a audi tt and my vacuum pump cover is very oily and wet. Thinking it is leaking and is causing low oil pressure light

@@cruiseedwards4657 sorry, sold car as it was, but never caused low oil pressure light, it was slightly weeping from the bottom onto plastic wiring cover. An Audi garage actually said rocker cover gasket was leaking a bit, & could be dropping down there. If you have low oil pressure I would think it would be more than just a leak in that area.
Is there supposed to be oil inside the pump and coming out , I did a boost leak test and there is problem with the brake booster check valve but also noticed the air was pushing oil out of the vacuum pump

There should be oil inside the pump yes, but it shouldn't be coming out of the pump.
great video what did you use to clean the vacuum pump?

Where can I find the hose connector? That one you pryed? I tried to search all part numbers and can't find it.

As far as we know, this isn't listed as a separate part, and is included with the pump assembly.

We used the old fittings when replacing the gasket.
Were there any other symptoms of the problem, apart from oil leaking. I am getting rough idle reviving up and down and there is also some oil around the pump...

Not on the vehicle we had, it was just the oil leak.
