As beautiful and majestic as "Devour the sun" and even as you have this unique sound which tells me right away i'm listening to VVilderness you achieve this without being repetetive. You are building up your way in my list of favorite bands together with Saor. I need to add: this cover-arts are just amazing, huge credit to whoever did these!

Dark Waters A cold breeze of dawn I feel on my skin While I’m waiting on the shore Fly my sorrow o fly away with the wind As the waves of dark waters roar If only I’d recall that forgotten time Sank in dark waters of yore I’d gather shards of what was mine Washed piece by piece ashore If I could dive deep and grow my own fins I’d like to swim like a sea serpent swims Towards the horizon and the morning star Play in the foams of waves from afar If I could dive deep and grow my own fins I’d like to swim like a sea serpent swims To rule all the seas and the roots of the earth To shape all new cycles and witness all the dying and rebirth Surface is my heavens I worship the light Between semidarkness and eternal night I see setting sun through a fragmented glass Firmament sustained by eelgrass A cold breeze of dawn I feel on my skin While sailing under grey skies Fly my sorrow o fly away with the wind Like vapours from dark waters rise If only I’d recall that forgotten time Sank in dark waters of yore I’d gather shards of what was mine Washed piece by piece ashore If I could dive deep and grow my own fins I’d like to swim like a sea serpent swims And rule all the seas and the roots of the earth To let them all know and see what it’s worth If I could dive deep and grow my own fins I’d like to swim like a sea serpent swims To shed salty tears for the passing of all Abyss calls me and I’m not ready to answer the call Could I dive into the dark The darkest of the trenches of the deep Surface is my heavens I worship the light Between semidarkness and eternal night I see setting sun through a fragmented glass Firmament sustained by eelgrass The blue-grey darkening the increasing pressure Cooling blood vessels heart rate going low Blind visual nerves unable to measure An empty universe waiting for me below Waiting below I am the soul of the ocean Every grain of sand on the seaside I set the tides in purposive motion To wash down the shelves my pain to subside The blue-grey darkening the increasing pressure Cooling blood vessels heart rate going low Blind visual nerves unable to measure An empty universe waiting below

Danu's Tears Life may come to an end Or is this the time of survival Species die out and others ascend A sixth wave followed by revival The anthropic age collapses in rage Despised beings will arise There will be no sound over depleted ground But a desolate drone of blow flies May the river wash away our affliction Embrace us o mother of all streams Let flow the waters of reanimation The life-giving well-spring of Danu’s tears May your tide rise over the wasteland Embrace us o mother of all streams Erode the footprints we left in the grey sand Enshroud our memories in dense steams The anthropic age collapses in rage Despised beings will arise No more hunt for prey, just cadavers decay With a desolate drone of blow flies All must go down, torn asunder Dissolve to dust, fade away May the river wash away our affliction Embrace us o mother of all streams Let flow the waters of reanimation The life-giving well-spring of Danu’s tears

Mist Pillars '19 This pre-dawn effulgence This refracted light Of dewfall at daybreak The heady flight Of murmurating starlings Rousing the air A whirr of thousand bird wings Maidens’ floating hair I’ll die with this beauty In front of holy fountains To fulfill my duty At the feet of the mountains The pre-dawn effulgence The refracted light Of dewfall at daybreak An eventual rite White frost covers the plains Like a ceremonial cloak Hiding the old bloodstains Around the sacred oak Sky is my temple With pillars of mist Light is my faith that shines Through a cloud rift As white frost covers the fields It glares like a ritual knife Into the wound that never heals And consumes my soul from inside So change the seasons The circle of life Inflame again the beacons A mountain bonfire White frost covers the plains Like a ceremonial cloak Overlies the bloodstains Around the sacred oak Sky is my temple With pillars of mist Light is my faith that shines Through a cloud rift As white frost covers the fields It glares like a ritual knife Into the wound that never heals And consumes my soul My soul from inside

It Comes with the Rain The flight of a thought The run of the deers The growth of a mountain The passing of years The gurgle of creeks Loyalty of wolves Knocks of woodpecker beeks Ruthlessly turns the wheel Crushes this brief existence Fate is yet to reveal its hollow indifference It rises with the sun It comes with the rain With the glaciers slow run A lustrous moraine The end is the beginning Where chaos is order Reason without purpose A dying immortal The flight of the hawks The swimming of eels The weathering of the rocks Dead matter that feels In this endless vortex of pain the stronger remain Waiting for relief in vain until it comes with the rain All the beings too tired to fight become one with the light Of an aging sun turning red from white burning its blue satellite Too late to be wise praying to empty skies Took ages to realize what was left to sacrifice It’s a lethal wonder as the world goes under To moulder to dross and dematerialize It rises with the sun It comes with the rain With the glaciers slow run A lustrous moraine The end is the beginning Where chaos is order Reason without purpose A dying immortal

Havasok / Snowy Mountains I have to go father go to Mádéfalva A meeting was announced by shiny noble lords Many valiant lads are gathering there as well By the snowy mountains thus I have to say farewell My dear tender son you don’t have to go there The meeting was announced by high austrian lords We are doomed before them they always brought evil They always brought misery to poor Székely people They broke the hearts of many mothers who hardly Brought up the handsome lads they took to join the army Don’t go there my dear son they always brought evil They always brought misery to poor Székely people Don’t worry dear father yet I have to depart I mustn’t be afraid but I must have a brave heart If the shiny lords could frighten me away Yellow-haired maidens disdained me all the way So Sándor Dakó rode to Mádéfalva Rode on a grey horse with a crimson sabretache Many valiant lads stood up there surrounded And shed their blood one and all by the snowy mountains Oh good Sándor Dakó why you had to go there Four your father’s despair for your mother’s despair For the doom of yourself Now eagles are lurking to feast on your flesh And over there rises a river of mourning Indeed it is rising towards Mádéfalva Where are you good bards maybe you are asleep As you missed to chant of the great sorrow of Fel-Csík The great sorrow of Fel-Csík the mourning of Háromszék We all will remember blackguard Sivkovics’ raid As he built a heap of prime of youth slaughtered Threw some into fire and others into water One mourns a father one mourns a mother One lost a sweetheart and a bairn the other Their plenty of tears surge as a great flood Alas all the rivers are flooding but with blood As Olt runs into grey Danube with its crimson water All who could flee from the land are cursed to ever wander My part is to go away into grey exile If only I could see my home just once in a while

He talks a bit about the leading melody on Havasok / Snowy Mountains on BC. I find that melody, and the entire album, so perfectly elegant, expressive, varied, and beautiful. just a shame we dont get to hear more of kazumi's vocals. chillingly, achingly beautiful and powerful, vvilderness makes incredible music
