Is the VVDI prog purely used for immobiliser / key programming etc or can it be used to address module replacement in a vehicle. Eg. BCM replacement or and engine ecu. Thank You

I’m a technician on my 7th year in the trade now. I really enjoy diagnostic I condemn a bmw footwell module month ago. A local garage repair them and that was a eye opener for me thinking of learning about this stuff. Where would you advise me to start? What tools to invest and any online courses available?

Sorry for the slow reply. Tbh going through and learning this stuff myself has been rediculous. The lock smiths don’t like to share, so unlike nearly anything else on a car you want to learn, there is a tonne of misinformation and flat out lies. There are a few forums dedicated to this stuff which google brings up, but you’ll get contradicting answers to every post/question and ever question has a response from someone offer to fix it for a fee. I have never seen a industry like it. It’s a bit of a shame, but on the flip side protects thier income I guess. I have been contact by locksmiths basically asking me to stop already 🤣. Whenever I learn someone I will make a video on it. But aside from that just keep learning keep researching and be prepared to be disappointed when you do buy something.

@@ZeroTo60Tube I did some research and found some called "Pcbite Probes" and just used them for the first time the other day and they do work nicely 👍🏽

Is it Possible to read the keys info in the cas module without that specific cas plug? @test and tune.

Can you read the isn from the cas with that tool ? I have a cas with no key need to make a key have no dme for the cas3 I downgrade it with Bmw explore it’s not ista p 55 anymore but I can’t get isn off the cas with no key
