I've been listening to this woman sing for nearly two decades. Her voice still gives me chills every time.

@@Leishtek She's only gotten better at singing since the 90's. Her voice is so pretty it puts tears in my eyes. Not many vocalists can do that to me.

I've been a fan since the release of Mandylion with The Gathering. 1995. She's the best

she's the only woman who can smile while playing utmost bad ass metal.props to the whole band,this sounds fresh and majestic,10/10

Los acabo de ver en el Circo Volador - CDMX (2018). Toda la banda tiene una vibra increíble y Anneke es la mejor!

As a fan of Anneke since her first days with The Gathering i still love her voice. And i'm glad she's back with her own band, besides her singing with Devin Towsend. :-)

The influence of so many years working with Devin Townsend is notorious here and I'm glad it is. Such a great song

I guess there probably are parts that are influence from Arjen Lucassen aswell, but to be honest for me is much easier to spot Devin's influence, cause Devin is one of my favourite artists in metal and I hear his musics far more often, even though I enjoy a lot of Arjen projects songs I don't hear them as often.

Drevilrodrigues Devin has given a big 👍to the Mandylion album released in 1995, which he said he 'literally listened to a 1000 times'.They were both label mates in the then independant Century Media label.The influences are mutual as far as Anneke & Devin go. You can see the genuine respect they have for each other on stage.

Anneke Van Giersbergen never seizes to amaze! Great new band, beautiful heavy song with excellent production and Anneke in top form as always! What is so great about Anneke other than her smile, is her vocal melodies. They have never been "cheap eurovision like" melodies... You gotta love Anneke! Can someone please bring VUUR to Greece for a show?!

Rock meets metal meets prog meets Anneke, and the rest is, as they say, history. And what a wonderful lady she is!

Riffs are great. The whole song sounds quite amazing to be honest. Nice touch by the producer too. Although I'm surprised about Anneke, I mean I had no clue what to expect listening to her in a pure metal song like this. One would think her voice/style wouldn't fit such song's dynamics, yet she does... it's incredible.

I did but it didn't really get me in, as I remember it's more on the rock-ish/grunge side than metal. Probably that is why I missed it out.

Please let this band last longer than for only one album. I generally enjoy almost anything, where Anneke is involved, but her work with Devin Townsend, early The Gathering and Vuur i enjoy the most. I listen to this record almost every day for weeks now and still totally fallen in love!

The great Anneke, the great Ed Warby on drums… Some of my two favorite bands from the 90s (The Gathering and Gorefest). Sounds very good.

It's really kinda surprising after all this time to hear Anneke sing in a real metal band again... Has she not stated one time in an interview that she would probably never sing in a Metal band ever again? ;) Anyway, I cannot but dig just simply everything this woman does - probably there will never ever be another singer which I am this much in love and just totally addicted - guess there is not ONE single song of Anneke which I don't just love completely :) ❤️❤️❤️
