Vultures of India: There are 9 types of Vultures in India, and the state-wise details are as follows,
Arunachal Pradesh - Bearded Vulture
Jammu & Kashmir - Bearded Vulture
Ladakh - Bearded Vulture
Uttarakhand - Bearded Vulture
Indian Subcontinent - Egyptian Vulture, Indian Vulture, Red Headed Vulture, Slender Billed Vulture, White Rumped Vulture
North India - Cinereous Vulture, Griffon Vulture
North West India - Griffon Vulture
Himalayan Region - Bearded Vulture, Himalayan Vulture
There are 9 species of vultures found in India
Bearded Vultures also known as the lammergeier or ossifrage, have black ‘sideburns’, red rings around the eyes and a long wedge-shaped tail. They are found in Ladakh, Jammu & Kashmir, Himalayas, Uttarakhand and Arunachal Pradesh.
Cinererous Vulture is a huge, majestic, dark-brown vulture also known as the black vulture, monk vulture, or Eurasian black vulture found in North India.
Egyptian Vulture is odd-looking, pale, medium-sized with a bare, solemn-looking yellow face. The bill is narrow with a black tip, and have a wedge shaped tail.
Griffon Vulture, also known as the Eurasian griffon is a massive tricolored vulture with whitish head and neck, pale brown body, and contrasting dark flight feathers found in North and North West of India.
Himalayan Vulture is a large scavenger, they are sandy brown with a pale, and featherless head found in the Himalayas.
Indian Vulture is light brown, medium-sized. They have whitish feathers on a dark head and neck, a pale bill, and a pale collar which is more prominent behind the neck.
Red Headed Vulture is a dark, medium sized vulture, also known as the Asian king vulture, Indian black vulture or Pondicherry vulture. They have a bare reddish head and loose flaps on the side of the neck.
Slender Billed Vulture have long, broad squarish-tipped wings and a long hairless neck. They are dark overall with pale underparts and look very similar to the Indian Vulture.
White Rumped Vulture is medium-sized with a silvery bill and a dark body. They have a distinctive white collar on the neck.

I had seen an Egyptian vulture from a distance of 20 feet in wild
Diclofenac sodium has nearly wiped out vultures from sub continent. Its such a sad story.

Thankyou, yes, you are absolutely right. Despite the ban on Diclofenac in 2006 it is really challenging to revive their population. More conservation efforts are needed.
Vultures are my favorite birds.

Condors are a new world vulture species found in the United States and Mexico. There are 2 species of Condor vultures (Andean Condor and California Condor), their characteristics are as follows, 1. Andean Condor: • Colour - All black with white frill of feathers at the base of their neck • Length (41 to 52 Inches) • Wingspan (8.10 to 10.6 Feet) • Weight (11 to 15 Kg) 2. California Condor: • Colour - Uniformly black with triangular white patch on underwings • Length (43 to 55 Inches) • Wingspan (8.2 to 9.8 Feet) • Weight (7 to 14 Kg)

It's nice video but if you add some more information like their habitat loss number of them left in wild and some conservation effort India doing or not doing enough will be more helpful. Thanks 👍
