You are very right Blessing and your feelings are genuine. Since I got in here, I have only made my hair just 3 times. Omo, it’s been a wig lifestyle. Ko easy rara. It’s expensive…. I’m learning to do my cornrow myself. Also, converting to naira doesn’t help us at all. So have told myself to stop doing that. I also miss having to walk into a store just across ur house to get some things. It’s crazy actually cos this is the reality. To order meals like you said too isn’t the same, the time and delivery . Driving down makes to pick up makes it better but you look at the price and you are like let me just go and cook, that’s even for someone who owns a car. To even hang out sef, you go overthink an again and again cos jumping from one bus to the other or the train, no be beans . Not sure convenient. In all, I guess it’s just with time we will adjust well.

Hi blessing, why not buy your foodstuff from Nigeria? You can get what lasts for 4-5 months (depends on how much you can afford) even 2 months. It saves money too if you look at it. Say 150- 200$ worth of food. what would take the most money would be waybill and in all honesty, it’s still very affordable depending on the weight❤️

That's ordering food! Would open and close uber eat several times a day but nothing to order 😆. Then managing stuff, hmmm I kept snail so much till it started spoiling in my freezer cos I didn't want it to finish. Sigh 😢

You’re right and I still thought about this friendship thing yesterday, the part of intentionally trying to remain friends, I think it has to come from both parties and not just the person abroad alone. I’m not going to be hard on myself again, if you’re my friend back at home and you’ve decided to not put any effort just because you feel I’m abroad and too busy then I can’t be the only one putting effort and worrying about time difference and what not. It has to be mutual effort. Grateful for my friends that understand this🙏

I would cry when I first came, now honestly Canada is my home and I had to make it feel like home for me. I don't miss out on my african delicacies and building great network of friends, so far I think the only thing I lack is access to hairdressers (I miss Lati that makes my hair).

That ordering food part is what I relate to alotttttt 😢😢😢…. Na so so chips and vegetables them get for here…. Sometimes I just want to go into a restaurant and buy jollof rice, swallow etc without breaking my bank account 😂😭😭
