I have watched this video multiple times and find it so interesting!!! To bad it isn't in the contest, because hands down it would blow all other's out of the water!!! I have gotten so many GOOD IDEA'S from all of your hard work that you put into all of your video's! All of the moderation's that you have made to the clothing alone qualifies as a WIN to me!👍👍👍👍👍 Thank's for posting from Michigan, USA.

Thanks for the comment, I'll be doing more vids on this..
Fantastic kit! I worked along side our cousins a few times over the years (including the first Gulf War, and couple of things since). Always impressed with their professionalism and common sense approach. I never got comfortable with carry my spoon on body lol. I love the rest and always enjoyed learning from them!
Great video. I’m stateside and did enter the contest. And I opted for a SAS smock and modded PLCE set up. Love the Brit gear. When I was in Iraq, it was always fun to meet up with foreign troops so we could compare gear and chow. Everyone always liked what the others had.😅

Cap no I have not, no I don't know anybody how has kit made by him but check him out..
That's a name I've not heard in a long time...one of my Sgt's had the same smock back in the day and i believe he also had it tailored a bit. I've managed to get a similar one made by Kombat UK "Special Forces assault Smock" a very similar beast indeed.

Some of us didn't make our entries public. Much thanks to those that did, as it gives us context of where we stand, what we forgot and what we probably didn't need.

Happy Christmas Mitch. Made me smile remembering using " street wrappers " for coloured filters lol. In fact just saved a set from pre Christmas nibbles as cadburys or whoever makes em are set to get rid of the coloured wrappers ( just incase, well you never know 😉 ) SASS again Happy memories and a very empty wallet after buying many items of kit from them over the years. Most of which are still going strong ( must be nearly ) 40 years later, shame can't say the same for this old bootneck. Shame improvements or mods to kit almost always come from losing guys on the ground, and lessons learned. Great show and tell mate, hope it helps all our American cousins across the pond with some ideas for that competition. 👍 ATB mate, have a great Christmas Rob

DPM... Don't Pissing MOVE! Haha... You hit me with the reinforcing tape, how can they not? I just had to duct tape the mylar bag inside the pack cover for precisely that reason, and once everythings finished and fit, I'll need about four rolls of snipe to tidy haha. Top 'entry' marra 👍

Hi Mitch. Thanks for sharing some great, well thought, out tried and tested ideas. Stay safe. ATB. Nigel
Well thought out kit/ setup mate!! DPM is great. Side note- Slick Vests for Armor were implemented/ used in conventional forces here in the states for US forces (including the first Gulf War/ Desert Storm/ Shield and the Balkans) long before ('bout 20 years) the modernized MOLLE systems that we've seen since the beginning of the GWOT. LBE kit is still tried and true!! Cheers bru, and blessed Jol to you and yours!!! 🤘

A look a British kit is going to be covered including the e+e/sere kit etc.
your giving me flashbacks ... looks like my kit, except i had a para smock (because i was poor) with NI gloves in a secret pocket, with my mini-maglite, biscuits brown. I didnt get on with gaiters. I had a Beta light but it died after about 5 years .... i looked at getting another one about 10 years ago, they were still available (new via manufacturer) then but not sure about now.
Very nice video detailing DIY gear mods. Could you do a video showing the E&E kit and those laminated cards in greater detail?
