Learn about one of the most famous Christmases in wartime - the Christmas Truce of 1914.
On Christmas Day, 1914, soldiers on both sides laid down their weapons and joined together to sing carols, play games and swap gifts. The unauthorised truce was short-lived, and soldiers were quickly ordered to return to normal duty with fighting resuming the very next day.
