Sadly and despite being a water sprite since childhood, I've never read the books, just saw the films in my later life. But this was truly brilliant, helped of course by the ever-superb Richard Briers CBE and Susannah York. Off now to see how close it mirrors Ransome's real life story. Thanks for posting it !
