I'm so sad that our ABBA journey is over.I feel the need to tell you a big Thank you for this and your kindness.Do hope you liked this 4some band of these legends but so very friendly, charming and very humble people that for many of us represent the soundtrack of our childhood.I wish that maybe in time you revisit their beautiful video clips of many of their great songs all over the years. They are so impactful and an ICON of a whole era.

There has been quite a recurring theme about fan reactions to this album and that has been that with repeated listens, it's an absolute 'grower'. Some ABBA fans took time to warm to 'The Visitors' album all those years ago and now it is seen as a classic. I think it's always best to think of all their albums as a musical journey. They were brilliant in their 20's and 30's. And they are too in their 70's. This album can proudly sit alongside the others. I can imagine that in many, many years ahead, people will look at the release dates and, when seeing the 40 year gap, go 'What?!!!'.

When late Aug.'21 was Hinted that Abba's 2 new songs were ready to be released, fans around the globe esp lifelong ones, felt their heart beating faster.2nd Sept.me and my cousin watched the live stream. From the first sounds of "Faith" and after listening to Frida's voice first time afte 4 decades of drought and while watching this strong, impactful videoclip we couldn't help it but bursted into tears. Then came "SHUT" with Agnetha and a melody which was such a masterpiece. It's Genius lyrics were Abba's "testing the waters" sending us their love letter and confessing who they are now also kindly and modestly asking for our approval. You could see people captured on camera crying. We cried a lot.For days.An ocean of excitement, nostalgia, happyness, desire, love and gratitude for our most beloved long lost friends that came back again to us for one last time to give us the kiss of life we needed so much.We forgot our age and became again the carefree teens we used to be.VOYAGE got released on 5th Nov.]21 and blasted to NO1 in 19 countries after 40yrs of hiatus in the streaming era of Adele and Sheran. An organic trendblind album full of love and disarming honesty. Despite all the predjudiced criticism,ABBA was treated by the music fans with a rapturous welcoming for this sacred gift.Proof of their longlasting value and the public's neverending love affair with them.

I absolutely love this album, all 10 songs. I wasn't born when Abba was active, my parents had their albums at home so I listen to them ever since I can remember. So I never thought I would experience to listen to a new album now, so amazing. I adore all 10 songs, but don't shut me down, I can be that woman, keep an eye on dan and no doubt about it are real standouts for me :), thank you for your Abba reactions, which are sadly over now. Maybe you could also react to their music videos, Abba is simply iconic

I was 17 when Dancing Queen was released. It was a great time for pop music. Lots of fond memories. So glad ABBA came to to us after the long break. It's a kind of closure.

an special comment about Don't shut me down the new ABBA masterpiece the Seventh Wonder of ABBA the sweet melody of the piano and the violins, the neat rhyme in the prose and the excellent modulation and interpretation of Agnetha as an extraordinary storyteller in that introduction is an anthology and the last minute, with the music and the choirs growing, the voices of Agnetha and Frida in a climate elevated to incredible atmospheres, they transmit to us the light and the joy of the return and reunion of ABBA more than 40 years later Don't shut me down came to alter all the rankings and Top 10 that all ABBA fans had I feel that, shortly after the ABBA Voyage concerts begin next weekend, "Don't shut me down" has the magic and joy of "Waterloo" with which ABBA swept the Eurovision and shock all the world

I remember when the news broke about the album, we knew something was gonna happen but a 10 track album? No way! I couldn't believe it, it was a moment I will never forget! I could never imagine I would get to experience ABBA releasing new music! Listening to this for the first time was so surreal! I'm only 20 but as a swede I've always known of them and I loved their hits but I didn't become a real fan until I listened to all their albums before they released the new one and even though I didn't wait for 40 years it still felt like I had! They still have the ABBA magic. It sounds like classic ABBA, just more mature. For me the highlight of this album is Frida's vocals on No Doubt About It! And I Still Have Faith In You, Don't Shut Me Down and Keep An Eye On Dan are masterpieces, and Ode to Freedom is the most beautiful goodbye. All songs are amazing. The songs grow on you so you should definitely listen to them again! Thank you for sharing your ABBA journey with us, it has been wonderful❤️

Hi, I hope you revisit some of the albums you've listened to, because I have learned you cannot form a really tangible opinion on a first listen, this was especially true for me on this Abba album, now I love every track except for Just A Notion, where I agree that they should have re-recorded the vocals for this album and also do something more with the instrumental. My sister's boyfriend intruduced me to Abba, she's 6 years older than me, Abba is still very popular in South Africa. My absolute fav on the album is No Doubt About It.

"Dont Shut me down" will be presented with live b.vocals and live orchestra first time in the ABBA VOYAGE concert premier in a few days!Guys i'm absolutely certain that from the first seconds this drops in the whole stadium will sing along with Agnetha from the intro all way through. This will be our very "personal" moment.Cause every single word in this track is deeply symbolic and meant so much to us fans since it was released. As it has been mentioned it's Abba's "Love letter" to their fans.OuR Abba love-affair Anthem.

Special comment of "Voyage" It's new to put in the right order, I"m still listening and discover new things until now I put "Voyage" from the middle to the top better than "The Visitors" & "Voulez Vous" so good as "Super Trouper" & "ABBA" only behind "The Album" & "Arrival " About the songs of "Voyage" favourite song: "Don't shut me down" (masterpiece! 10pts) only a level bellow (9pts): I still have faith in you Just a Notion another level bellow (8pts): When you danced with me Kep one eye on Dan No doubt about it Ode to Freedom another level bellow (7pts): Little things I can be that woman the last level (6pts) Bumblebee

Bunblebee is just a pleasant little song that showcases Frida's voice. That's why I like it. It's also beautiful musically. I generally don't give a toss about lyrics. ABBA's songs sound as good in any language which kind of proves my point. That said, I really like your summary at the end. It mirrors the way I feel.

I love the album. I love 9 out of 10 and listen to them on a weekly basis. "Bumblebee" and "I can be that woman" I listen to more then their other 8 tracks but still listen to them alot. The album to me gets an "A" Grade. I give them credit based on their ages that they were able to put out an album with such beautiful sounds, lyrics and voices with one and both of them singing together.

I guess it’s all a matter of perspective, but the opening and closing tracks are the most apropos songs they’ve ever created lyrically. As a US American, they’re so spot on it’s heart wrenching.

I don't know what I was expecting but this wasn't quite it for me. I wanted to be excited. A master-class in pop perfection has been missing from music released in recent years and I got no relief or satisfaction here. Perhaps I had hoped for too much. 😔 In the late 80s admitting to liking or being caught listening to Abba was tantamount to social suicide. Then the 90s happened. Erasure released their Abba-esqe EP. Muriel's Wedding followed as did Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. Australia 🇦🇺 kept the love alive. We were even home to the number one tribute band Bjorn Again. The Abba Voyage concert features 3D Abba avatars on stage with live instrumentation. The band wore motion capture suits in studio to ensure everything would appear authentic and special for audiences. There is no other way fans could hope to see them perform again.

I'ld say that from very late '70s to MID/Late '80s Abba was a real guilty pleasure. But signs of the big gap they left were obvious by the very late '80s.Since the'88/'89 things were starting to get nostalgic. All the SAW movement was reminiscent of Abba's early vocal arrangements and happy go lucky feeling.World wanted to feel more carefree.I've worked for the music press around that time (for a short while)with my cousin, and that was the general feeling from our other colleagues then, too. Things had started to happen again for Abba they were missed quite a lot. There was some fire left under the ashes.

"Keep An Eye On Dan" is about parental custody that is shared by both parents. Dan is the kid's name in the story and the divorced couple is hinted -regarding the lyrics-to still have feelings for each other, love and regrets apart from sharing the same concern for little Dan.

Honestly the best songs on the album you're kind of slighting...."Don't Shut Me Down" and "Keep An Eye On Dan" are extremely well produced and very ABBAesque, but however, with "Just A Notion" I really think that Benny and Bjorn may have tried to record new vocals with the girls but probably didn't work out so they went back to the originals(there's a small clip of "Just A Notion" in it's original form, on the track "ABBA Undeleted on the 1994 box set "Thank You For The Music)

In JAN they possibly kept the original vocals cause they sounded fine after all.And i also believe because that was the idea of the whole VOYAGE project "combining now and then".Not sure though about the recording time of the very last vocal part...you know the one that they sound like lil angels.

Blondie is great.I am a fan and got most of their discography.Debbie Harrie was a sex bomb for the more "dirty" ones!lol!A weirdly fine persona and frontwoman. My 2 most fave albums are "Plastic letters" and topped by "Autoamerican" which was diverse and showed her multi skilful voice singing from punk-wave to "lazy-jazzy" stuff.I remember at the time (around late '79 that music press was commenting that their sound was getting more pop and polished, quite reminiscent to Abba.Chris Stein their front male member, confessed a couple of years back that their 1979 hit "Dreaming" was kinda subsconscious copy of Abba's "Dancing queen" and that luckily enough, Abba didn't do anything against this, possibly wasn't noticed.

Dude, are you that oblivious? “Don’t Shut Me Down” is being sung to us, the listeners of 2021 and beyond…..asking us to have an open mind. They are now and then combined. They are attempting a comeback because of love and hope. The song is a love letter to their fans and the humility, respect, and poignancy of it transcends the immensity of the void those of us who have lived through the entire 40 year wait.
