    A holdover from this being an Instagram video lol But actually I'm impressed that KZread uploaded it properly. This might be better for cable videos 💜

    I tried to build one for the last three months and i just cannot get it to work. When i tried to resolder it i really struggled with getting the part which has the screw socket over my techflex because it just gets stuck when trying to move it and getting it on it is another thing which is impossible. Any tips for this problem?

    Is there a specific diameter/size for the nocking pliers or is it universal?

    Such a craftsmanship, what length do you measure for the lemo side heatshrink? it looks on point

    I ran into a problem soldering my cable, where my testing device (an iPad) is being recognized by the PC but it doesn’t charge. Is this something to be worried about/fixed? I’m just worried it won’t work with my friends RGB keyboard because of the whole power/charging thing

    Hmm that's a tricky one... Apple products can be finicky with custom cables. I recommend testing it with another device to see if it can power something else. If it can, do power and data on another thing, it should work on his keyboard. If it doesn't work on another device, try taking apart the usb connectors and adding a layer of heatshrink or hot glue to the solder joints Good luck!

    I use 1B 4 pin lemo-style push-pulls. (Generic, not genuine lemo because those are better served in the aeronautical or medical industries)

    Why do you ignore shielding?

  • @voxelmods

    @voxelmods

    3 жыл бұрын

    It's unnecessary for a keyboard cable, in my opinion. The cable is shielded, but the drain isn't soldered. Very few people solder the 5th pin anyways, even if they're using 5 pin connectors.
