Vortex tube: The amazing mechanical device

Ғылым және технология

In this video we will look at an amazing mechanical device called the vortex tube. It has the capability of providing a hot stream and a cold stream of air, if compressed air is supplied to it.
I will also demonstrate how the vortex tube behaves if connected to a tyre infiltrator.
Lastly, I will discuss with you, my idea of achieving cooling using the vortex tube without any electricity

🔴 What Is Islam? ⚠️ 🔴 Islam is not just another religion. 🔵 It is the same message preached by Moses, Jesus and Abraham. 🔴 Islam literally means ‘submission to God’ and it teaches us to have a direct relationship with God. 🔵 It reminds us that since God created us, no one should be worshipped except God alone. 🔴 It also teaches that God is nothing like a human being or like anything that we can imagine. 🌍 The concept of God is summarized in the Quran as: 📖 { “Say, He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He does not give birth, nor was He born, and there is nothing like Him.”} (Quran 112:1-4)[4] 📚 🔴 Becoming a Muslim is not turning your back to Jesus. 🔵 Rather it’s going back to the original teachings of Jesus and obeying him.

No wonder why you don't get cold air stream! You attached a flexible pipe to hot end of the vortex tube! In addition, I doubt that your air compressor (tire inflator) supplies steady compressed air stream although it may say 100+ psi

When you move air across a wet kitchen towel it will cool, no vortex tube needed. That needs to be controlled so you can measure the effect of the vortex tube on it's own.

Great explanation Haroon, I found it very informative, ... however, ... electricity is used to charge many compressor tanks all over the world. A wind compressor would not be able to keep up a strong enough pressure to run only one of these tubes for hours & hours, like in industry, also when the wind dies, electricity seems to be the answer there, OK? Watts V's the cooling or heating effect, ... is it economical to use these tubes at home?

Why is it that that vortex tube discharges the cold air on the longest end? Even in your schematics the cold end is the shorter one...

So, electricity to create pressure. With outcome of cool air and hot air. We use the cool air and reuse the hot air to create energy and pressure.

I am more than interested in your set up. I have a few questions: (I) you spoke of a small vortex tube of 130 mm, costing about say $40. Are there any such manufacturer supplier of small vortex tubes in India? Most suppliers in India do not make such small vortex tubes. {I've checked with many} (II) What is the best pressures for the good continuous functioning of the vortex tube? (III) you showed us a tube inflator for generating compressed air. Will this give the required pressure? Can this be used on continuous basis? (IV) next you showed a pretty good wind compressor system. Can you suggest any solar compressed air generator?

@@AutoNomades He is right about the trompe if you have a water supply. It works on water to compress air. No moving parts. 60 psi and up. Mr Thessalonian on you tube has it. There are videos on the votex gun/ cold gun on YT, build your own from a spiral wood drill bit.

What you meant by "Not using electricity at all?" Do you mean that you blow up the compressed air with the mouth? How do you produce the compressed air? Probably by using a compressor that is using electricity....

As the video explains at the end there are compressors that would run directly with turbine blades. You dont need electricity in that system

@@synergyfiles3536 I believe is easier to use a wind turbine that produce electricity and running an air conditioning. The air conditioning are more efficient and produce less noise(and they can also produce heat-is called a heat pump or air air pump). Plus you can use the electricity for something else. Plus you need a big compressor in order to produce some heat. I believe you need a constant 90psi

@@cornellungeanu1620 Electricity is the worst way to do heat, and heat pumps are not efficient in all climats, and are noisy too Don't you 'believe' ? Its good that peoples tries differents ways, why always telling them not to try?!

@@AutoNomades I hope you joking. Look at the whole video first. He want HOT AND COLD air. Is a lot to discuss but on short, regarding noise, try and run a huge compressor and see how quiet it is and then try and blow all this air in your face and see how quiet it is and then you write to me. And please read the requirements of this vortex device and see how much air you need so it can be efficient. Heating units are very efficient compared with an air compressor. Try and run a huge compressor for a day and see how much electricity you need. It's a lot. I have nothing to gain from what I am saying but someone will lose some money if they will buy and try the vortex thingy. I am just saying.
