I absolutely love this for Kings Island. The entryway reminds me of how Fury 325 interacts with the Carowinds entrance. With some killer theming, I think this version of a Revenge of Vortex would be one of the most sought-after credits in the world 👍👍👍

vortex was my first big roller coaster and its the coaster that changed me into a coaster enthusiast so i love this concept

This looks great but I have a concept for the old SOB and I'm staying away from the vortex plot because action zone needs something way more so if ki is smart they would add something to action zone and retheme it then replace vortex

I agree. I'm definitely ready for an awesome new mega coaster on the Vortex plot, but an Action Zone retheme was overdue when Vortex was still standing. I was really disappointed when they made the Adventure Port announcement cause I thought for sure Action Zone and Oktoberfest would become one new area. Then it was just Oktoberfest and not Action Zone. As someone who has been visiting since the 80s I was little confused why they took away the Oktoberfest theme but brought back the Der Spinnen Keggers ride?!

@@carysage all Kings Island has really done is retheme and repaint rides and replace son of beast with banshee that area is so outdated I think they should retheme the area in 2025 and add a coaster in that area in 2026

I'm a big fan of the concept, I'd love to see a No Limits 2 mock up of the concept in the future.

Absolutely love this concept, I think having vortex in the name isn’t a good idea since you don’t wanna pay homage to every ride and wanna create a new story, I do think another horror/scary theme would work well. On board audio would be pretty sweet too. You should consider doing a video of if you had unlimited budget what you would add/do to every park!

I got a few ideas for coaster concepts you might be interested in trying -Worlds of Fun Giga coaster (somewhere north of Prowler might be a good spot) -Worlds of Fun launch coaster (Maybe have it interact with Fury of the Nile) -Dorney Park Giga coaster (best spot I can think of is the back of the park between Hydra and Wildwater Kingdom) -Dorney Park launch coaster (maybe in the forest area surrounding Steel Force) -La Ronde Super Manege coaster replacement (dive coaster or launch?) -La Ronde Cobra coaster replacement (RMC single rail or launch?) -Darien Lake RMC Single rail coaster (The grass area East of Predator would be a good location)

You can do vf invert concept..a vekoma thrill stc...thanks💯💯😁😁😁in dinos plot of land...

I want arrow style loops where they're all he same size and you get that push pull feel. Gotta have a pretzel loop in there, and gotta have those barrels. It won't be right without it. I think you could save the trenches, add some trees and bushes in there and make sure the paint scheme is darker like vortex.

This coaster concept is awesome. Kings Island needs to add this. I would definitely ride it.

1:43 I still don't get how those engineers did their math so wrong they seriously thought the structure would be fine taking those forces of the swinging trains with unbanked track. Wild to me. Even with limited experience in that particular ride, they still knew that banking wasn't only for rider comfort but for the structure and steel.

"Kings Island's best airtime moment" Woah there Brandon, let's not say things we can't take back. Orion and Diamondback both have some incredible airtime themselves. Also I still could see KI getting a their next coaster in 2025, since I don't think the junior boomerang really resets their coaster clock, and that would be 5 years since Orion.

Inverted coaster at Kennywood where raging rapids is currently and into the ravine

Replace the Single Rider Line with a handicap accessibility line. Handicap Accessibility seems to be incredibly overused or overissued at Kings Island, and it can really jam up the exit ramps.

Definitely would be a wonderful coaster and well thought out! Just hope Cedar Fair doesn’t screw Kings Island. Orion is a good coaster however, it had so much more potential than they gave us. Really think they are afraid of Kings Island being over all better park then Cedar Point. And a Top ten worthy coaster would do that for sure.

I think this would be a great idea for Kings Island.

This is really interesting/weird that you bring up this concept... The other night I was randomly thinking about a. what kind of coaster could end up going into the Vortex plot? And b. what would the theme be? My mind kept going to a Mack Extreme Spinner like Time Traveler but thought of something that you presented in this video which would play into the theme. Trenches and tunnels. I was thinking about how some of the most recent coasters that have hit Cedar Fair locations have themes based on where they are located. For example, Mystic Timbers focuses on the Miami River Lumber Co. which is an area around Ohio. And with the recent announcement of Iron Menace playing into PA's history of an abandon steel mill. So, I was thinking about how this new coaster could be themed to something that plays into Cincinnati's history and the first thing that came to mind was how the Miami and Erie Canal went through the city back in the mid 1800's. IT was eventually abandoned and parts of it were drained in the early 1900's and left parts of Cincinnati with large parts of the canal drained and these trenches were eventually filled. Fun fact, they even tried to build a subway system and had parts of the trenches constructed with stations and track but the city decided not to invest in it and stopped about a quarter of the way through. I don't know how they'd do it but I feel like if they did trenches and underground tunnels like you are proposing it would be a really cool theme that pays homage to that part of history here in Cincy. Just an idea... Great concept!!!

Cedar Point needs a replacement for Corkscrew.

Nice concept. KI is my home park and I would ride this. Though I think you overdid the trenches. I did like the tunnel the the elements. Assuming RMC and Int are out a Vecoma Multi-launch is probably the best option to create something that will draw people from a distance while appeasing the passholders. Just a thought but has anyone done an underground inversion. What if there was an underground zero G stall?

I would like the name, "Wrath of Vortex" and it have a Crash Bandicoot theme. I know it's Dr. Cortex but it'd be fun. Love the ride concept though!

KI is my home park, this would be an outstanding successor. I miss Vortex, it was the first major coaster I rode. In 1991 My grandpa took me straight from Beastie ( Woodstock express now) to that and I haven’t stopped riding coasters since

I loved the Vortex. I rode it many times as a kid living in Ohio. I returned on the last operating weekend to ride it one more time. I only regret never getting to ride Firehawk

I have a couple of ideas for future coasters that I would really appreciate seeing conceptualised by u: Vekoma Ghostrider clone (but spinning trains and a backward spike) to replace Corkscrew at CP Mack Extreme Spinner in T3’s plot of land at Kentucky Kingdom Zamperla renovation of Intimidator 305 that would replace the first turn and expand the ride to include a launch section in Volcano’s plot of land

Call it The Beast’s Revenge or something, have it be a hybrid wooden coaster like the Texas Giant or Steel Vengeance!

This would would be a great coaster for the park and this area. I think Vortex Returns would also be a cool name. How long of track did you predict? I'd hope for at least 3500 feet of track. Also I'd want one of the launches at least 70 mph.

Revenge of vortex will be an amazing replacement of the old and awesome vortex.

Actually, I think the perfect new coaster for this plat of land would be a Vekoma Flying coaster, similar to F.L.Y. at Phantasialand. Many people were just as disappointed to see Firehawk go away as much as they were with Vortex, so if they were to stick with Vekoma for this new coaster, that would be the perfect choice for them in my opinion. Plus, it would be the most unique coaster to add to their current lineup of rides.

Will you make an updated video on T3 replacement if you have any different ideas since it was announced it was retired?

Put another SLC in there with the Kumbak trains!!! That would be the perfect replacement for the best ride I've ever rode.

Does this concept take into account that the Vortex plot is a large valley and has some pretty uneven terrain? Basically where both launches and the top hat is is a large hill. Also looks like the entry plaza and queue would have to be elevated. Also that tunnel after the top hat wouldn't would bc of that. Very cool concept though.

I would say this project would most likely be from intamin or Zamperla.

For the name I would just go with “The Vortex”.

I love everything but the 26 part. I really don’t want to make most of my trips to cedar point instead of KI 🤞

Well, since we're on this type of subject since the worlds of fun brought back the Zambezi zinger. You should just keep on going with the remakes for the next one should be Orient Express, the orient had the first bat wing, It also had interlocking loops like the loch Ness monster at Busch gardens but I think it should be rebuilt as a RMC raptor or possibly even the first T-Rex roller coaster.

My version of vortex has a lift that matches the same height as the original but here's the kicker...the first drop is banked..to the right as you crest the lifthill Here's my inversion ideas... 2 vertical loops Zero g stall High speed inline twist First ever stall loop.. And a twisted cobra loop..
