You solidified my choice to buy the Fury and saved me 1800bux. Just got my new pair of HD 5000 binos and all I can say is HOLY SMOKE!!! THESE ARE NICE!!! I already have a pair of the fist gen Fury Binos and have enjoyed using them for the last 5 years. These are EVEN BETTER! Very clear glass. Fast ranging out to 2000 yards so far. I wanted a pair that would reliably range farther then the original Fury binos because I'm shooting chucks at long ranges in Idaho and the first gen were nice but fell short quite often past 8 to 900 yards. These will be able to range farther than I can shoot so all targets within my max effective range are in trouble. BTW, one of my shooting partners has a pair of the Leica GeoVid binos and I like these more! Better field of view and clearer glass. (also the price is awesome)

Too bad they don't have built-in compass to immediately add direction to the distance for use in closely map plotting location of observed object. Otherwise you have to put them down to use a separate compass. Great video. Very well-done. You have the gift. (Also, makes us want to pull the trigger on a Fury purchase.)

Which HD-R model are you using in the comparison? There were three iterations. What is the five digit model number?

Have you had a chance to look at the Geovid 3200

I am also red/green color blind. I want to buy some rangefinding binos. I have a leupold rangefinder and can't see the display because it is red. Do you have that problem with the geovids or fury?

What drone were you using? Fabulous flight video!

That was just an old cheap one we had, but a lot of us here in the office use the slik tripods when hunting and have been happy with them.

Asked but I did not see the answer What Drone and Camera system was used to get that great cinematic feel especially at 7:04 - 7:13

I'm running the sony a7iii and the mavic 2 pro. Been very happy with both.

If those Geovids are on par of the Noctivids then I'd give Leica the upperhand over those Vortex Fury 5000. It's perhaps due to your color blindness that those green and red seem warmer on the Fury. I have the impression that the Leica (as with the Noctivids) have a more golden tone which I really prefer over those Vortex! 😍

Do the fury’s give a tbr or just line of sight ?

They can compensate for angle.

There are newer versions of Leica available,why weren't they tested?

Why can't they add a MOA or mrad scale? That would make them the perfect bino,,, you can range then figure out size by scaling it to a scale all at one time. I get so tired ranging then having to get out the rifle to scale it to figure out the size. Total waste of time when it could be so convenient to use the bino for everything

Why are you trying to judge size? Normally you estimate the size and use that to estimate range using a scale. How accurate can you get?

Bs. I have had the furry 5000 testing side by side with the Leica geovid 10x42R model and the Leica was better. These Leica's are a better comparison with the Furry 5000 Vortex because they are much closer in price. The led display was easier to see in the Leica as well. The glass is better on the Leica's too. You must be a Vortex fan boy or distributor. Try to keep your videos honest man.

Toss the Sig Kilo3000 in there too

You can't fairly evaluate color if you are color blind.
