I have a B6294S motor S80 with 4T65EV transmission which fails. I found many used transmission in my local market, but they may different. Seller (1) has a B6304S motor S80 with 4T65E trasmission. Seller (2) has a B6294S motor S80 but with a 4T65EV-GT transmission. It is the same motor, but Geartronic transmission, mine is not. May any of these are compatible with my car? Thank you.

Nice movie! It would of been a lot more interesting it wasn’t “mute”, maybe a bit of talking and explaining would of helped a lot.

Thanks for the feedback. The workshop manual helped us a lot so that will be a great tool when working on these.

I'm curious, what is the main reason why this 4T65E's break down, I mean I see every single Volvo cars that comes with this gearbox will wreak at anytime somehow. so I really want to know that what is the origin cause in the mechanic that break down and can we prevent it from occurring? Thanks!

These trucks are designed to go many years trouble free but many people fail to do the necessary fluid changes at regular intervals along with the other maintenance requirements. Not until a light comes on or the vehicle refuses to go any further do they try to take the cheapest way out but by then it's an expensive repair. Many times just listening to the vehicle and knowing what it's supposed to sound and act like tells you when someone is seriously neglecting their ride

Solenoids that are bad will RUIN THESE transmissions if your transmission starts shifting hard after a duration of time take it easy, it's overheating and will explode on you

Georgia Prixs Are you serious?? I really like to know because I just took my car to the transmission service, the charged me a staggering amount of money 2,800.00 plus tax... and I they did not replace the solenoids with “original ones” I still have time to order them and take those to those “crooks”... after one day I took the car back because it was shifting with bumpy noise... all maintenances have been done by the dealer but this last one because the dealer closed their transmission repair department and are sending customers to a third shop that supports that department but is a different shop and not related to the dealer. Would appreciate your advise. My car is a 2007 5 cylinder xc90.. great car... if you take care of it and mechanics KNOW how to fix them.. God Bless! 🙏🏻👌🏻

@@joaquin698 also depending on how many miles and the sad reality of these transmissions, they were most likely never serviced in their lifetime so flushing old trans fluid and putting in fresh ironically enough kills the transmission due to the lack of fragments in the fluid, my theory fix as stupid as it sounds, strain the old fluid out and put the metal fragments in dexron 6, then your transmission JUST MAY actually be alright after a service, but yeah go look up a XP1 4t65e transmission they are performance up to 120k miles and good to go the distance at $1500 too!
