Dear Bjørn, greetings from Germany and thx 4 all your Videos. Driving my iX3 for 3 Years now and would never buy a Fossil again Could you talk in PodcastStyle about the Transformation to EVs in Norway and how the people think about it then and now? In Germany most people dont want EVs. And too many in the Government are to stupid to realize whats going on in the Future and do everything to keep Fossils alive.

So the EX30 is consumption-wise ok in the city and on Norwegian country roads (with the 60-80kmh speed limits). Not so much on Czech, German or Austrian country roads because here people go 95-100kmh and then it is already thirsty. But on highway it eats your purse 😂😂😂

Many go even faster. I usually go 90 (Ioniq, 95 on odo, I always talk real/GPS speeds) on german country roads, except too much traffic behind me - and bare in mind, we have loads of villiges on those, so average speed, regardless if you go 90 or 100, is more like 60. And there's trucks of course, which usually are only allowed to go 60 (but often go 80 or even above). In Norway you can drive at even speeds for way way longer, so not much of a difference on everage, really. If you drive in a sensible way. Oh and depending where I drive, not even 90 is a safe speed. Remember, §3 of STVO orders you to drive with "angepasster Geschwindigkeit" (speed must always be adapted to road conditions like width, surface, turns, visual conditions [obstacles behind turns or hills], weather and such), just many people don't respect that and go way too fast. Even through villages, also not respecting distance to people on sidewalks (1.5m at leats - with children, I even slow down and try to enlarge the distance a smuch as sensibly possible) and bikes - and distances to cars in front of you.

I wonder what the consumption would have been, had you kept AC on all the time. I drove a total of 835 km (two long drives) just recently in my ID.4 GTX, dry summer roads and temps mostly above 20 degrees (28 at the most). AC was set to 19 degrees. Average consumption was 14,6 kWh/100 km, average speed 71 km/h - I mostly just followed the flow of traffic.

I tested this car for 24 hours yesterday, it's the worst EV tested so far, even compared with Zoe, Leaf or e-Golf. Too many bugs, even the bluetooth doesn't work properly, many annoying things. Normal driving consumption is high. It's not a finished product. I don't understand how Volvo can't properly integrate Android but Renault can. It was the same with XC40 and XC60 based on Android. I would stay away from this car, honestly. The seats in the back are a joke, I can't fit and I am not that tall, 1,83m, 80 kg. It's too expensive for what it offers and even at a lower price there are too many bugs. The right seat had something that rattled inside, when I took the car I wondered why that seat was so much inclined to the front, I understood afterwards. The keyless entry was buggy also. The car had only 5.5000 km on board, Ultra, RWD Extended Range. The interior felt cheap, it was the basic blue one for Ultra. I don't see how a current Volvo oner would switch a XC40 or XC60 for this one. It doesn't feel like a Volvo for sure.
