Definitely back to the similar place that got my attention in the first place .. Wormholes was the first song I heard before I got VIA .. and imo the mix now is getting everything out of it too . I really liked No Sleep .. Kinda drifted a bit out of my interest for the last album.. but Holywater and this are legit bangers .. bring it on 🔥🔥🤘

Instrumentally it's good but vocally it's too monotonous. If they'd differentiate their vocals and add some actual dynamics itd be better I think. Overall it's definitely better than holy water so I'm staying hopeful for them to keep putting out new music

Volumes 3 biggest sound qualities were the djent grooves led by Diego, the vocal dynamics between gus and mi/yke, and those heavenly highs to contrast and emphasize the hellish lows. They've only kept the djenty grooves, just not from Diego (RIP). Instrumentally they got their groove back, but everything else is missing.

I love the vibe, there's just a cool atmosphere along the whole track, especially during the last minute. Love that. The only thing that could made this track better is to have a second repetition of the 1:55-2:15 section, loved that!

The renewed volumes is going to retake the metal community by storm. I have been listening to metal for years, and it has worn on me to the point of moving onto different music genres, however the very FEW metal bands creating new sounds, or revisiting the ones that made them unique in the first place is what will bring me back. I know Michael had his controversy with metal, however he is going to be what defines volumes in the upcoming years. super excited to see what the bunch of your create.

This indeed jams, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss the melodic clean vocal. Hope it's not missing from the new album. Different Animals is hands down one of my favorite albums of all time. None the less, this and Holywater, great tunes!

WoeIsJesse No, he’s definitely right. You can pick Michael Barr out of a lineup of vocalists VERY easily. He’s not trying to say he’s doing anything different vocally, he’s saying his scream has a very distinct tonality to which you KNOW it’s him.

Idk man. Visa and No Sleep both used cleans pretty sparingly. I love that volumes is coming back with that super heavy sound like this. Tracks like pistol okay, affirmation of ascension, the Columbian faction, etc all great tracks with no cleans.

Love listening to Via. More excited to hear nostalgic sound.....but the energy and passion seems to be absent when I listen. Djentlemen please release another track that is one you feel is a car teeth-grit and head banger like all of VIA is and was.

@@aprioris.knowledge2765 I don't dislike his voice by any means. I just don't listen to any of the album's today like I listen to VIA. I can listen to every song on the album straight. The other album's, many songs are skipped. VIA to me was not an evolution of the genre, but rather doing it all right and in an energetic way that I can play it on a trip and not skip or switch to anything else. This new song literally sounds like the passion is gone.

This has gotta be the sauciest metalcore music video of all time.

Best music I've heard from volumes since their concept of dreaming EP. No cleans, no rap. Beautiful
