And I played blowout professor saying less is more and only 1 product- and I can’t get volume! Now I know it’s ok to add mousse not just jicky drugstore mousse.. and hairspray… I mean flat plastered hair is my nightmare.
Great video, new sub and I’m loving your work! Have you tried Aveda volumizing sprays? They’re great for hold without stickiness or weighing hair down. I’m going to try your Moroccan Oil suggestions because you can never have too many bottle in your bathroom 😆 Looking forward to binge watching your videos. Fine hair girls unite! 🙌🏼

I love the Ouai fine shampoo and conditioner! It’s my holy grail ❤ I like the Ouai leave in conditioner and volume spray. Just got the amika perk up plus dry shampoo to try. Not a big fan of the big sexy hair products. They tend to weigh my hair down. I did not know to use the root lift and mousse!! I always learn something from your videos. Thank you, what an expertly and concisely done video! I must confess, I would prefer to use lesser expensive drug store products. I wonder if you could trial some and do an honest video on your opinions.
I purchased Amika mousse based on your recommendations and I don't care for it. The product feels "thin" and makes my hair feel "crispy" (for lack of a better word). I will go back to Kendra's Volumizing Mousse which feels "creamy" in my hair, smells fantastic and does a very good job. With that said, I will continue to try all the products you recommend and let you and your followers know how they worked for me. Thanks!

Thank you soooooo much!! I've been considering trying Moroccan Oil products for some time but was concerned that they might weigh my fine hair down due to their "oil." Based on your preference for this brand, that doesn't seem to be the case! :) I will try your recommendations, thank you. Along with blow-drying technique to encourage volume, what are your thoughts on teasing the hair? Does it cause irreparable damage? What are your thoughts on a styling tool I've seen, it's a slim crimper that is meant to be used only on the roots to build volume, then the crimped hair is covered with a layer of uncrimped hair on top.

I JUST bought a voloom and used it today for the first time!! I'm going to have to do a video on it cause I find it to be pretty cool! Moroccan always gives me great results, I don't love living proof but I don't hate it. I find it to give nice volume but not much hold and in my experience if you use too much it has a product feel.
@tube_trance
Жыл бұрын
@@StylesBySummer I'd love to see a crimper video! Also, I would love to learn from you about salon hair coloring. As I've gone more and more gray, I have yet to find a stylist who can achieve and maintain the color I'm looking for, which is to replicate my original natural color of medium/dark brown hair with ash and/or neutral tones. I don't know why it's so difficult, but the color either turns out way too dark and flat, or it doesn't penetrate and cover the white/gray hair enough, or the color seems nice at the beginning but quickly turns a brassy orange-ish brown. I'd love to see a video about the common problems people have with hair coloring and how to talk with your local stylist to achieve better results. Thank you!

I asked about teasing, and then I remembered I had saved a great video you did a few months ago titled, "Make YOUR Hair LOOK FULL. Get VOLUME with YOUR Curls. Curls for FINE Straight HAIR." In it, you demonstrate extremely well how to tease. Thank you for the guidance!

I find that when I use a detachable thermal brush (Olivia Garden makes on on Amazon offering 1.5 to 3.5 inch barrels) as opposed to velcro rollers, it is a GAME CHANGER. Velcro rollers do not hold any type of curl or body for me whatsoever. I think the thermal detachable brushes offer the ceramic barrel which heats up and allows incredible body, shine and no need for clips as they stay in place by just the bristles. I would love for you to test these and do a video on them! Also, does the hairdryer you use offer any benefits to holding body?

Is there a reason why you don't incorporate a heat protection product into your routine prior to blow drying? I've watched so many of your videos and noticed you are consistent in this! How would someone at home ensure their hair does not get damaged from the heat of a blow dryer? I've always heard from professionals that fine hair is especially prone to heat damage. I would love your thoughts and reasoning! Thank you for helping all us fine haired ladies!!
@StylesBySummer

I am bad about consistently using a heat protectant every blow dry. I cycle through so many products that some have them and don't so with my day one blow dry I don't get quite as concerned. The Ouai leave in and IGK Big time both give heat protection but I do always make sure to use a heat protectant spray when curling my hair with an iron. For me, I notice heat damage from that most. Living Proof and MO spray heat protectants are my favorites!
