With regard to surface area the r is squared because height will be rsinx( x in radians) . So for each height you must shift it by r times so that by the time you come full circle we have a distance attached to each rsinx. From there integration takes over.

According to my research and experment. The sphere surface area is - circumference times diameter, (2 pie radius) (diameter) And the sphere volume is - circle area times diameter, (pie radius squared) (diameter) Look at the comparison of this my two formulas.

how did u derive the surface area as circumference times diameter? (because it's correct) also, the sphere volume is 4/3pi^3 according to your formula it is pi*r^2*2r= 2pi r^3. so it's incorrect. the ans should be 4/3 pi r^3

Imagine you take a sphere, and cut out a shit load of pyramids out of the sphere that all point into the center of the circle, where if you fit them all together you get the sphere again, their height is the radius since when u put them together you get a sphere. now we know pyramids can't make a sphere because they have all flat sides and a sphere is round, but what if the pyramids were equally small, then it would make no difference that they had flat sides, it would make a sphere. This was kind of long, time for the math portion.... We know all of the cones added up will make the sphere: V = bh/3 So our volume of the sphere would be bh/3 + bh/3 + bh/3 + bh/3 until all of the cones are added up (which is infinite) Now we factor out the h/3 to get (h/3)*(b+b+b+b+b...) all of the bases of the cones added together. If you remember I said that the pyramids are all pointing inwards, they make a circle by connecting at the same point, which will become the center of our sphere, if they are all pointing inwards then that means the bases are what make up the outside portion of the circle, lucky for us we have a formula for that SA = 4pi*r squared We replace all of the bases in the formula with the surface area formula (since they are the same) and the height of the cones will be the radius of the sphere. (r/3)(4*pi*r^2) This simplifies to 4/3 * pi * r^3
