i don't quite understand. You just turn on muscles instantly by snapping bones? i know that's not what happens, but in practice that's what it seems, like you press the right buttons and dormant muscles just wake up. i see this as a kind o magic.

You can clearly see how he is changing angles and amount of pressure when "testing" strength after an adjustment. This means only one thing: He is fooling her (and you) with intent. This is not about the scientific evidence, or lack of evidence, when looking at the long term benefits of chiropractics, but simply to point out that the "muscles testing" is pure BS that anyone should be able to see through.

Hi Doctor. I have big problems on my hips, but I live in Cali (LA). Do you have any referrals of doctors who do an evaluation as in-depth as yours prior to any adjustments? I’m uneasy if they don’t do X-rays before adjustments as I suffered a minor injury in my spine 14 years ago that triggered my sciatica episodes and possibly my current hip issues

My dad was a personal trainer when I was little. Then we moved to China and he taught in Chinese universities for about 17 years. Mostly English but also math, computer science and a few other subjects. (he has a wide range of skills) One job he got because of his background as a personal trainer and more specifically the medical training he had to get for that, was a job working with Chinese doctors that were part of an exchange program with Harvard. My dad got to read all their medical papers. He said that as a PT he already knew, or _thought_ he knew how important feet are, but after reading some of the studies done on feet, even he was grossly underestimating it. He said that according to numerous studies, how healthy a person's feet look is a *shockingly* good parallel to that persons overall health.

I don't go often but I just went to my chiro 2 days ago. I can't believe it but pouring water out of a Brita into a thermos is what threw my back out. Unbelievable what little things can throw your back out. I find it amazing how chiropractors can read your body and do tests like this to figure out what adjustments needed to be made. I felt 80 % better the day after my adjustment. I know what is bothering me when I go see my chiro but he is like what about this? I am like "Oh yeah that hurts too but didn't even realize it" probably because I was in too much pain from the initial pain. They know what is related and connected. I laugh too when I get adjusted. It's just a release when you get adjusted and get put back in line. This girl needed a bunch of adjustments.

I am x-patient of Dr. Hoars, and after a white water kayak injury to my lower back and hips, I can attest that he is the real deal! I am going on 18 months now in full recovery from not being able to stand, and back to Kayaking, motorcycling, and boating thanks to his determination to see me well. Have recommended others to him whose quality of life he has improved and if he can keep me in white water at 50 years old, I think for the younger folks he can see them to full recovery and a much happier life as well. Thanks Doc! Will see you at next crash, wash out, or any other issue!

I wish we had chiropractors around my city like this. Almost all of them here bring you in, do you five minutes of adjustments and you're out. At no time do they discuss why they are doing what they do are doing. They don't discuss any issues they think you may have. Even the ones that use actuators around here just click around on your back and they don't even tell you why they are doing it lol.

This chiropractor never palpated the spine. He just went through a routine of general manipulation that ci guarantee he does on every single patient regardless of the complaint. Wearing gloves may be impressive, and a great show prop, but it prevents proper sensitivity. But it doesn't matter for him because he doesn't palpate and so he never identifies what and why he is "cracking" a joint. When he does one side and then another without identifying why, he is not actually adjusting a vertebra, but merely opening the joint to get an audible. This is not hard to do and it provides some temporary relief. But it is not a "fix" and it is potentially dangerous, especially in older patients. A real chiropractor would be able to tell you every alignment issue as he palpated the spine. This one doesn't even palpate. He just sets up for general manipulation and does it. His narrative is smooth, but it's no different from any other chiropractor who uses a script to gain the hold patient's confidence. Patient confidence can affect the patient's perception of his or her response to any real or sham treatment. This has been proven in chiropractic research studies. You don't have to do much when you have a young, healthy person with minor issues as we see here. When you have older and geriatric patients, this sort of application often causes issues. Chiropractors who don't know what they are doing usually resort to instruments like the "activator" you describe. But there are a plethora of deceptive practices in the field that allow unscrupulous chiropractors to present the illusion that they are actually doing anything more than treating the patient's neurosis. Read the long post above if you want to know what real chiropractic is - I am a third generations DC, (retired) whose grandfather was a chiropractic pioneer (official) who graduated from Palmer in 1921 and learned from BJ Palmer himself.

  • @cullomuchoo2040

No it isn’t only athletes but athletes bodies are used and broken down SO MUCH MORE than normal people. Hence why their bodies are a lot more powerful but always need maintenance. This girl was an athlete, lifts, and is a trainer so she’s got her hands full and it becomes very easy to mess things up after years of doing this. She’s obviously very strong and built but her underlying skeletal structure needed adjusting badly.
