@locomojoboy2 Thanks for your kind words--They mean a lot to me. Yes, I hope they will perform like this in the ncaa and I think they've shown a number of times this season that they can come back and rise to the occasion. While they haven't been perfect, they've shown calm and composure in a number of adverse situations. I don't think any other team has shown more nerves and grit this year. Go Bows!!!

If Hawaii plays like this during the NCAA championships then I can see them easily going 3x national champs 😳

Kevin Harlan really hit the nail on the head towards the end of the 3rd set. UC Irvine tips too much. That was a big reason Hawaii beat them before, and it hurt them again here.

Honestly I don’t think they tipped enough, and effectively. Hawaii always leaves themselves open to tip and gets fooled by them often. For whatever reason Sani and Henno didn’t capitalize on it this game and when they did it wasn’t a good or well-placed tip.

@@locomojoboy2 In the previous 2 matches once Hawaii started keying in on the tips after the first set, they stopped working and Hawaii got a ton of easy points. This match Irvine looked a lot better because they were more strategic when they tipped. As with every "trick" play, if you do it too much it backfires.

Once again Long Beach gets a free ride to nationals after losing the Big West Tournament for the second time in a row. As much as I wanted Hawaii to win, I would really have liked to seen both of them make it to nationals. But the only way that could happen is if Hawaii lost. It should be UCI going instead of Long Beach It’s a shame that teams in strong conference like the big west aren’t allowed to have all 3 of them qualify for the tournament because there can only be one conference winner, yet a team like Penn State will always qualify for nationals because the rest of their conference is always trash. Why else have they been able win their conference tournament THIRTY-FIVE times?
