This video is one of a series where I try to save this VW trike. Mustie1 and I found it in a old airplane hanger in Connecticut. I will also be doing a light restoration throughout the series. Thanks for tuning in. Enjoy.

Really cool trike. I always wanted one of these in my youth. However The problem with these are all of them are missing one crucial part of the engine. The VW body. And what I mean by this is. The cooling air comes from the upper slots in the body of the car. The cars body in connection with a seal keeps the hot air (rising) and being recycled through the engine again. Super heating the engine and dropping valves etc. If it was started, and run down the road….not in stop and go traffic it would be ok, I suppose. Anyway…..pretty cool find.
