Very bad judging!Not one reporter gave it to Volka!How can the judges give that to Volka anyway?He took Max’s title JUST the first fight but Max definitely won it back there!This is STILL the worst decision I have ever seen in MMA!Felt so sorry for Max when this went down!The fact that I’m writing this in July 2021 shows how fkn wrong this decision was,eh?💩

Alex won 4 and 5 easily. Third round from 2 minutes onwards, it was all Alex. So i believe he won.

Volk 3,4,5 dude. I dont see how you can make an argument for Max. I have this copy paste here and if someone wants to make logical points then im down to change my mind. Here it is The decision was right but it should have been a UNANIMOUS decision to Volk. Consensus is Max won 1 and 2 (agreed). Volk wins 3 as he lands more significant strikes and more efficiently. Sure argue it’s only leg kicks but Volk lands 10/27 to the head compared to 2/22 for Max Round 4 is the same plus a takedown for Volk. All judges scored like the above until Round 5 Round 5 Volk again lands more and more efficiently. 37/51 strikes vs. 23/61. Max lands more body shots but eats more head (and leg) strikes AND gets taken down twice. 2 judges scored Rd 5 to Volk and 1 to Max making it split. Rd 5 is the clearest Volk round so should have been a unanimous decision. Biased Commentary, fake unofficial stats, and the huge fanbase of max has changed the entire narrative. Lets have a respectful discussion if you do want to prove how max won the fight.

Max won the first two and i think everyone can agree on that, the other 3 go to volk. Like I said Commentator Bias, fake stats, and maxs huge fanbase compared to volks has this narrative of a robbery when it wasn't. You can even watch weasles video on the fight.

damn what a fucking classic. impressive by both fighters. i give max rds 1-3 and despite getting out struck in the 4th still kept it extremely close and never seemed in danger once in the fight. volkanovski conditioning is championship level he really turned it up and dug deep rounds 4&5 forsure and this fight resembles jones vs reyes in my personal opinion. was extremely competitive and i can see how it couldve have gone either way but volkanovski securing those two takedowns and controlling the fight for most of that round was a strong finish and it seems fair that the judges may consider those championship rounds as more indicative of who won. it is clearly heresay and doesnt mean shit but it appears volkanovski gave it his all in final round and because one could argue how razor close rounds 1-4 though that even if max one rds 1-3 him losing rounds 4&5 make it a rather indecisive victory. no disrespect to either fighters i think max fucking won no question but just like jones vs reyes it is damn near a identical decision. hard to be mad though because it was written, max lost this rematch and had his legendary live on abc performance vs kattar. i swear he looked like he threw 1,400 strikes animal

I saw it rounds 1,2 were Max convincingly with the 2 knockdowns, round 3 was so close and could've gone either way so I'll say a draw, and 3,4 were Volk mainly due to the takedowns and bigger shots, so after watching this fight live and several times since I've gone with the draw at 47-47. We definitely need the trilogy to settle it. My prediction would be Volk for that one!

Aljo got the decision against Yan but max didn't in this fight shows the gigantic variable the judges score cards are and the difference between fights and judges who score the fights. To me it shouldn't matter what judges are scoring the fights it should be the same result regardless because of unified rules! To much room for human error, fixed fights and negative influence of any kind!

It's funny how you get beat up for 5 rounds and few takedowns get's you a win. If you can not keep him down until the end of the round and your opponent gets up then he also should be awarded with a point.

@@Death_Incarnate round 3 was the one in question. All 3 judges gave it to Volk, and he outstruck Max 25-15 R3. Max very clear 1 & 2. I have watched the fight a couple times now. I wholeheartedly feel that Michael Bisping claiming Max was up 3-0 was helping create that narrative. It is tough when Volk is winning razor thin rounds and Max’s 1st 2 were very clear. I wouldn’t have complained if Max won, I definitely felt it watching live on Tele.

It was only a split decision because one judge gave Max round 5. If that guy was paying attention and gave it to Volk, it woulda been a unanimous decision

Bad decision. Possibly worst ever. Robbed Max of the respect and legit defenses from his fights after. As far as I'm concerned, he gained back the belt, defended it twice (totaling five) and then lost to Volk in the third fight.

I'll tell you, it's because Volk outstruck and outworked Max for the majority of the fight. Rounds 3, 4 and 5 were all for Volk. I'd love to hear how anyone gave any of those last rounds to Max. I'll wait for a reason....

Live, I thought Max won. Going back, Volkanovski edged this fight in the third round for me by landing the heavier strikes. Late takedowns also probably helped him. Max really was close though.

I know right. I can't believe one of them gave max round despite him getting outstruck and taken down twice. Volk got robbed of a unanimous decision.

Don't enjoy Holloway, Ferguson, and I don't wanna see Ngannou lose. :/

I don't really care for them giving it to the champ during a decision when the other guy still won the fight.imo max won this and it's kinda b.s you either win or lose giving it to the champ when he lost is kinda stupid
