Man this reminds me of Katrina When the Levy Failed, I was a Rescue Swimmer in the US Navy stationed at Pcola Florida at the time and we got deployed for 2 months to New Orleans pulling people off buildings stranded at first to running supplies. I've never seen such destruction before in my life until later on in my Career when I was stationed in Japan in 2011 when that massive Tsunami hit. Katrina + Harvey combined weren't even close to what happened to those poor amazing Japanese Civilians. RIP to those who were lost in all these horrific events. After seeing all that I appreciate everything I have and the life I've been blessed with bc man one min your family is happy and healthy the next your the only one left alive after a 100ft+ wall of water smashes your home. I will never live near the ocean, Navy got me sick of them lol

I hope you take time to really appreciate the many lives you've saved, including the posterity of each of those lives. Unfortunately, we are going to continue to see even more ferocious hurricanes and tsunamis due to climate change. I experienced a full house fire and lost everything material. It was numbing, and my daughters and I got through it with the support of our selfless community. I cannot imagine when the devastation is so widespread that everyone in the community is affected and everyone is numb.

I had to give my estimate to the CDC and EMF last week. It was one of my worst experiences. Watching on the news is one thing. Understanding the outcome is another. If you have a few pennies, send it on over ESP to Syria. My estimate was 10k immediately dead followed by 50-70 thousand due to poor conditions. There was a delay from Sat companies and a delay on the ground due to political bitching. Find an aid agency, and donate. You can't divide this stuff up. Everyone needs help. This was a hard week. It is now a recovery operation. If you can keep one kid warm? Keep them warm.

@chris if you want to run some test I know where a portal is in Myakka FL it's a long story that started in 2018 when I was driving back roads on my way home. I was in my work truck alone and came around a corner where the tree line opened up and I seen balls of lightning floating around 80 feet off the ground and it looked like these orbs were making lightning they would start off as small balls of lightning then expand rapidly becoming 60 80 100 feet in diameter and then turn into a single arc shooting across the field to the orb and the orb got really bright. Everything happened fast and shook me to my core but after that happened one of the orbs Shot across the field straight at my truck and flew over my hood maybe 30 feet off the ground it lite the inside of my truck up like a spot light. My truck started to stall and every light on my dash board went out even my head lights then it flickered afew times and came back on the engine as well picked up leaving me struck in fear that was so bad I was yelling please no!! stomping on the floor boards freaking out and pinned it driving 110 mph all the way to the house. My family all thought I was crazy they still do even after I showed my mom a massive ball of light in the middle of the day around the same spot she didn't want anything to do with it and told me not to tell my sisters bc it would scare them so I'm still the laughing stock of my family and my mom still won't stand up for me she just plays it off like it was just a light in the sky no big deal I'm still just a joke. That's just the start bud it gets far worse if you want to know the rest shoot me a text I'll gladly tell you on a video call it's to much to text

Interesting that in Sacramento, CA hundreds of new homes were built on flood plains, most recently in the Natomas area. All these home buyers in a frenzy, 90 % from the San Franciso Bay Area to buy a home for half the price in Sacramento/Natomas/Elk Grove areas than the one million and up in Frisco. Guaranteed they did no research on the flood plains. Putting their families in harms way just to save money.

Category 4: in Hurricanes: Winds 130 to 156 mph leading to catastrophic damage to homes with winds strong enough to tear off roofs and walls. Most trees and power poles will be downed. Can make areas uninhabitable for weeks or months.

60 plus years ago one of my science HS teachers told us that if we didn’t change using other products in living on our planet 🌎 we’d see wilder natural volcanoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, tornadoes and floods. Here we are.. 65 years sent mountains of money for talks in France and done very little in action to make change..

It’s not climate change, but Geoengineering. I found it hard to believe that evil people are manipulating the weather for their own agendas. Of course they aren’t going to admit it, but it is happening.

Very good reporting. I wish people would get away from calling it a 100 year floodplain. All it means is that every year there is a 1% chance of that area flooding. I knew a city that had 4 1% floods over 5 years. Cities want development to add to the tax base but that tax base isn't always positive tax base. Developers don't want to give up a lot to install a detention pond. Another big problem is that those ponds need to be maintained. Over time, silt builds up and makes them less efficient and they need to be dredged. But, most of them are forgotten about until there's a flood.

Also known as a caldera, the super volcano is situated in the northwestern part of Wyoming. However, it also extends into the eastern part of Idaho. The Yellowstone caldera was discovered by Bob Christiansen from the US Geological Survey via geological field work in the 1960s and 1970s.

Charge the builders fire prevention fees and use that money strictly for fire prevention! Why not have helicopters dump water in vegetations close to homes as soon as summer starts as part of fire prevention, together with cutting undergrass ? Homes must not get built in the fire hazard areas! Sue the politicians who gives permits to builders who will build in a fire hazard area! Could it be that politicians are corrupt and in the pockets of those builders?

The water idea (pre-treating) is a good one, but pretreating fuels only lasts for a few minutes. The grass is called a "1 hour" fuel. It evaporates and absorbs water very quickly. Grass (fine fuels) are a main carrier of fire but is not a huge source of ambers that are capable of burning longer (residence time) and pre-heating larger ignition sources (shingles, wood piles, porches, etc.) unless direct flame and very thick and tall grasses are present (try starting a campfire log using a handful of grass) causing intense amber wash or production. We do-however-have good success stopping fire advancement in grasses when we can get enough water on it so that it will absorb enough to absorb the heat from the flame front and turn that energy into steam rather than a flammable gas. Mowing grass, raising the canopy (cutting flammable limbs, thinning brush, and clearing flammable debris) helps us control the intensity and residence time that is necessary to get larger fires in motion.
