“A synthesized voice was used in the production of this video.” Really? Then it’s the most lifelike synthesized voice I’ve ever heard! Regardless, I’ve appreciated the straightforward reporting and clearly understood explanations presented during this time.

There's a lot of earthquake activity down and around the Pāhala area in the lower Volcano district. Does that mean lava is moving in another direction from the eastern rift zone?

Depending on the shape of kilaueas magma chamber, the end of the eruption is a signal of the depletion of magma from the chamber and indicates magmatic pressure has dropped, this can cause deformation to the interior of the chamber and earthquakes can occur as a result of rock breaking off without the pressure to hold it up

I just noticed this morning (Thursday) that the air in Honolulu was noticeably more clear. Even though Kilauea is 200 miles away, and usually downwind, the is an effect on our air can be seen.

They have to rebuild the access road that went to the observatory and re- sound the building. The 2018 eruption severely cracked the visitor center building foundations when the crater subsided closing them indefinitely. The main access road became part of the rim collapse and has to be filled in and rebuilt
