3:08 how in the world can he play this riff in odd time and SING at the same time? Without any drums or bass in the background for reference? Saw it live, crazy

Just a matter of heavily practicing where the words fit relative to the guitar and vice versa. Consider the lyrics to be fairly straight with the main time signature in your click (feeling it as a 4/4 or in this case more 8/8) and then the guitar syncopates around that. I say 'just', but it is still incredibly fucking hard haha

Since I met this band, I listen to it every day, I just had a relapse in my addiction and I came to KZread to see something, it was bad, and coincidentally this song came as a suggestion in this moment. I'm reflecting a lot on what I've suffered and if I'm going to be able to get out of it. One thing is for sure, this band's music is very powerful and it's helping me in some way.

Found out about VOLA a month ago and I’ve been listening nonstop ever since. Their music is just so refreshing and I can’t get enough. Every song has its own unique sound to it and the lyrics are so impactful. Just pure perfection all around and I love it

I think it's hard to hear because the bass drum is going along with it. 4:00 onwards you can definitely hear it.
