I'm Stuart Sykes and I have lived in Barnsley all my life and am a keen landscape photographer.
Its my passion to restore old photographs and make them look how I think they should be viewed in all their splendour and glory.

nice project. vivid. I visited Barnsley today, Interesting town and nice to see some buildings being restored. In the future that's what will make towns stand out and make them visited. New market was great. Very much enjoyed Experience Barnsley museum and the Cooper gallery with its beautiful garden, lovely friendly staff. Good visit
An excellent, nostalgic series Stuart. I was born in Wakefield and brought up in Staincross before leaving nearly 60 years ago for university and then my career. I still visited frequently until the death of my mother 5 years ago. As they say, “you can take the boy (😂) out of Yorkshire but not Yorkshire out of the boy”. Keep up the good work!
