Modelling after something that exists is relatively easy task. So, alone on this video, I don't agree.

They're good singers and their work is amazing, but I can't imagine they would get much of a reaction from the warriors old and young at the local inn. They raise their glasses of honey-wine and creamy ale to the gruff voice of a bard, a tale-shaper who sings of the heroes of yore, accompanied by the harsh chords of a lute or lyre, a scene befitting their hard lifestyle, not the buttery voices of boys like Peter and girls like Malukah.

well I was not at E3 nor did I see any of the streams for it. not to mention they could just be trying to generate hype or show of a new game engine. if you can find me footage of the trailer I'll have a look and be quiet after if it don't have anything of value to discuss.

Anyone else think Malukah’s voice sounds different in this? Like in the original her voice was warm and reminded me of crackling firewood and embers, now her voice is like clear fresh air in an open sky

This is just what I needed at the end of my day. I agree with you about Malukah's voice, her accent really shines through beautifully when she sings but yours is what I appreciate about this. On lower, slower songs like this yours has a very relaxing quality to it that I really enjoy, especially after a stressful day.
