Voith's special sound

So nice! More vids like this! Music into my ears.. 👍

They make a lovely racket, but they're absolutely hopeless in reverse!

For some reason, ZF Ecomats sound like ordinary car gearboxes, but Voith DIWAs sound more like helicopter turbines

​@@NutellaBC you might be able to say it's almost no difference... A turbine uses airflow and combustion....by spinning a disc..... Voith transmission also has a turbine disc.. Called the impellor. Its in the middle of the gearbox.. It uses the engine kinetics to spin in oil and open or close valves located on the sides Wich will engage different gear ratios

Damn jet engine ahhh i never forget taking line 57 to my grandparents having to go a 20 mile down Hill wich was great to hear as a small kid. Retarder screaming hell in the wind while the gearbox tries to keep it up using kickdowns XD.... Good times

The Gillig Low Floor also used the Voith DIWA. 3E.

Ich denke Mal sehr. Hatte Mal einen wo die Klappe 5-10 cm auf war. Der lärm war übel

Ich bin mal mit ein Mercedes O530 G Euro 4 gefahren 2008 war die Klappe offen und der ist so in Linien Betrieb gefahren und dann am nächsten Tag war ein neues drauf gewesen

I Don't mind Voith boxes, they suit certain buses here in the U.K. such as Dennis Tridents, Atlanteans, Lynxes, E300s, etc,. But push come to shove, I'd always go to a ZF Ecomat.

@@BusFan-nu1kd Same, Stagecoach SY have some Enviro 400 Trident 2s and the 06 plate batch sound godly and have got some right power behind them.

ZF Boxex with 6 gears in City Busses a horrible, they switch up and down like a nervous one and dont fit sometimes to the CAN-Bus System of the car and anytime the begin hard switching...... VOITH always switches smooth and gently

voith sounds like a vacuum cleaner i realy dont like it. ZF is the best!!

New Busses sound like vacuums. Those voiths and zfs from that era sound all amazing. Also I didn’t like voith either but nowadays I appreciate both because both have their nice characteristic and Charme.

I hate those sounds... too loud and VOITH needs more gears at start.
