Voidax must have a full lightshow with outstanding visuals, it would be FCKING incredible. 💥
One of the few who for the most part still creates his mix live instead of finishing it the night before and then stands in front of the audience without moving a knob and simply celebrates himself ;-)

This is a recommendation by the organisation, and basically the definition of a live set. Lots of edits and mashups that can only be premixed. And the visuals can be programmed before the event such that the experience is better than when the light guys must react to the music at the spot. They still produce their own music, so you can still see the artist at work. I don't get all the hate on premixed sets.

@@BTERVVNBA that's not hate. For me it's incomprehensible why they almost exclusively play their own tracks. You can see how much they let themselves be celebrated. That's not a problem, thats totally fine, but then you don't need to mix anymore which a dj should do.

@@AkigrafieLive I think that playing only your own tracks has also became standard during livesets. It's not a rule, but just something that evolved in this way over the years. Voidax played some classics and tracks by others, which is also standard for an opening set. But when you only have 30 minutes to show the people what you stand for, its understandable that you only play your own tracks. I do agree that the art of DJ'ing is getting more rare nowadays, so it's a pleasure to see someone have fun while dj'ing, instead of pumping his arms in the air for 30 minutes. For example, Crypsis and Rooler really make good use of the possiblities of live mixing. To see more of that would be nice.

Kan me nog goed herinneren: 5:35 liep ik de vloer op. Ondanks dat deze nog zowat driekwart leeg was, was de atmosfeer al zeer aanwezig. En deze bleef zo tot het einde van de avond. Wat 'n prachtige dag was het en wat een manier om het te openen🙏🙏
