Voicing a pipe organ is the ultimate convergence of science and art
Ғылым және технология
Voicing a pipe organ is the ultimate convergence of science and art. Master organ builders Robin Côté and Alex Ross “voice” 1400 pipes inside a choir organ they have installed at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Richmond, Virginia. Voicing is adjusting the pitch, tone, attack, volume, and resonance of a pipe and how it interacts with the architectural space it is in. The science of acoustics, fluid dynamics, air column theory, and architecture are integrated with craftsmanship, artistic interpretation, the human ear, and the emotion of music.

This is an excellent primer on the subject. Thank you gentlemen!
Very little information about the actual process of voicing and finishing: virtually none, I'm afraid.
