Hearing that 1986 was his last time as Optimus prime till 2007 is actually heartbreaking, I know he had other work but imagine if he had other roles as Optimus throughout the early 2000’s

Peter Cullen is the Robert Downey Jr. of the transformer’s franchise, he will always be Optimus Prime like Robert is for Tony Stark.

It’s kinda ironic that Bay says ‘I can’t imagine anyone else being Optimus’ since it actually took a _lot_ of persuading from the fans and 3 auditions before Peter got the part. I’m very glad he did, it’s the only thing that makes Optimus in these movies an enjoyable character

Interesting how I heard Hugo Weaving supposedly despised his time as Megatron but at least here he seemed to be at least enjoying putting some energy into the lines.

Peter will always be Optimus Prime in my eyes forever, there is just something majestic about his voice that makes Prime this humble yet bad ass leader that if you were an Autobot, you would follow him to the scrap heap. Peter and Prime will be the legends that will live on and never fade.

2019...I just saw this and my childhood days flashback in an instant....this is awesome to watch...

peters voice just gives me goosebumps. i remember being 8 years old going to the movie theater to see with my dad. have been a die hard fan ever since then. Rise of the beasts was an absolute masterpiece. one of the best ones in my opinion. the first 3 were the absolute best. but this one is right along there with those three. there can never, and will never be another optimus besides peter, period.

Optimus prime could convince me to ride into the gates of hell to battle satan himself, armed with nothing but a spoon and I would feel confident.

When you hear your own voice in a recording.

Peter Cullen (Optimus) was another reason i fall for these movies.. He has the exact Depth, Gravity, Weight in the voice that suites the Creature size of Optimus and matches his persona. even amplify that.. There could'nt be better voice for prime than Peter. Same as Weave for Megatron

The live action movies have nothing on the 1986 one. I was a massive transformers fan as a kid and seeing this when it came out on VHS made me so happy. I also cried when Optimus died

Optimus's words at the end of the movie was my ringtone for a veryyyyy long time. Just cannot imagine anyone other than Peter Cullen doing Optimus' voiceover.

Peter Cullen is the only Optimus. I follow Rob Paulsen aka voice of Yakko, PInky, Raphael and the new Donatello, and listen to his weekly podcast. Jess Harnell is the voice of Wakko and thus a friend and guest on Rob's podcast. But theres something about Barricade, his voice and everything that makes him my favorite badass decepticon.

For some reason in the first film the robots a cybernetic voice filter that was later abandoned in the sequels but I wish they'd kept that cybernetic voice filter because they sounded very menacing.

Peter is like Steve Downs and Morgan Freeman. His voice is just so calming yet so stoic and attention grabbing

Imagine Peter Cullen passing away unexpectedly next day. That would be heartbreaking
