I'm from India and went on a 10 days solo trip across Japan recently and not once did I face any problem during my stay. Everyone's very respectful and more helpful than necessary. Even the young students I asked for help did not waste a single minute to flip out their phones and search train/bus routes and timings to the places I had difficulty figuring out on my own. The rich cultural attractions, natural beauty and the world famous cuisine was worth every penny I spent on the trip. I was going through some rough times in my own life and decided to go there as an escape. Best decision I ever made! Can't wait to go back gain.

Thank you so much for sharing your incredible experience! It's heartwarming to hear that your solo trip across Japan was so positive. Actually, I have been going through tough times too, but communicating with Indian people through these interviews helped me forget my stress. Communicating with people is always wonderful. Hope you will come to Japan again!

Thank you for your asking. Unfortunately, I'm unfamiliar with Japan's current recruiting situation for international students. Because of the aging society, Japan will face a labor shortage not only in manual labor but also in high-end industries such as IT. So, Japan's future demand for foreign labor will definitely increase. But at the same time, Japan's economy may shrink with the aging society. That's all I can say. I'm sorry I can't give you a definite advice, but I hope this advice is of some help!

I haven't been to Japan. But as far as my knowledge goes about Japan, its people and their culture through various media, i have noticed that people are too nice. What i mean to say is that respect is not given to everybody or you don't have to be nice all the time even when you are having a bad day. You guys need to let loose a little bit & be honest in your behaviour. For example, if i go to any small restaurant in India, nobody will give a $hit or greet me for having food there. They will just give order and f*ck off. No smile, no greetings, Nothing. & I don't mind or wouldn't be offended by that behaviour because i know that their job is difficult and boring because they're doing same thing again and again for hours. As long as they serve me good food, i will be fine. So there's a mutual understanding. Now if we take the same example of Japan then i can clearly see waiters greetings each and every customer with smille and greeting even though he's having the difficult and boring day because he's doing the same thing for hours. Now apply the same thing in Japanese corporate structure. That would be even worse because those seniors and bosses expect you to behave certain way and they will judge you if you don't react or act certain way. That would be mentally exhausting for employees. This is just my guess, but the reason i think many people in japan are so socially awkward or introvert is because your society teaches you to behave certain way using the fear of being judged by others. Every ideology or mindset has its own good or bad effects. So I'm pretty sure that this kind of mindset also has its benefits. But you have to find balance.

I know what you are saying because I have backpacked in many countries including India. Japan treats good and bad guests, luxurious and frugal equally. As you know, equal treatment is not always fair. Personally, I think it is better mentally to treat expensive guests in a way that is appropriate for expensive guests and cheap guests in a way that is appropriate for cheap guests. In my experience, the cheaper the customer is, the more likely they are to be a complainer. Basically, many Japanese are accustomed and comfortable treating all customers equally. But at the same time it can be very tiring. So I think we should find an appropriate balance in our own way and create a culture where the people around us accept it.

Hmmm I don't know how you felt this but Indian Hospitality is pretty good. Like had you given any other example like there being scammers, being some what dirty or had bad instance, local cab etc I'd be 100% agree with you but hospitality for one is kinda big deal in India. Go to any hotel or restaurant you should be treated pretty good even this extends to shops and locals as well. There is literally a saying in India saying "Guests are like Gods". Ofcourse I'm not saying its better than Japan or xyz country but its isn't bad either. I'd always recommend to go to mid tier hotels and restaurants don't go for extreme cheap one's.

@@forkrust9296 That's why I said small restaurants if you read my comment carefully & You did not understood the point that I am trying to convey. I am not saying that employees at restaurants or anywhere should behave badly which might hurt someone's feeling. I am just saying that employees should stay true to themselves and customer should also try to understand or put themselves into their shoes & trying to understood their difficulties and pain. That way society won't end up being fake which behave in forced manner while thinking that what others might think while putting your own mental health at risk. Also I am well aware of Indian hospitality because I am Indian myself. But I was talking about small Indian restaurants where employees don't get paid enough & not Indian households or 5 star hotels.

@@noice4594 Don't be too mean brother. Like I also said in my comment that every kind of mindset has its good or bad side & I just talked about only bad side here. You have to find balance & finding that balance is the difficult part which takes time & acknowledgement. For example People can also say that people from other countries apart from Japan are not desciplined or irrisponsible citizens who don't follow any rules that require for functional society. Right? I think people should live the life because it's worth living while people should also follow the rules to protect the humanity. That's only possible with wisdom, Sympathy, Love and many other good qualities while having control on your ego, selfishness, lack of sympathy, knowledge & many other bad qualities. I know that it is easier said than done. But that's the only way.

We have neighbouring countries like terro*st pakistan and cunning China who constantly create problems for us at international platforms. No one can handle a democracy of 1.2 billion. 1000 plus languages and each state having different culture... Still some how we are united.. also india was colonized by 200 years by British and before that by Mughal and Portuguese invaders... Still after so much theft from India, we have emerged as a developing nation. Our country provides financial help to many countries.. so correct the term poor to developing nation.

We have our own identity, make role models not idols. From role models u try to pick their good character and with idols, u want to become them. So India can have other country as role models only. As for that clean thing, I agree 👍 but for that polite thing..... dude u need history class. Do try learning about Japan history wrt to america, China, korea particularly and even India. Japanese once fought a battle with Indians. They have a violent history but see today they are known as polite community. These r characteristics which human acquire not born with. So stamping Indians with "that we can't become like japan " is absurd statement. As for consideration, we are quite good. We, Indians are not able to distinguish as we live in this society, but from an outsider pov, Indians are quite considerate of other.
