Ed, thank you for being there for my Veterans. Lest They Be Forgotten.
Thank you Larry. Both of my Grand fathers were involved on both land and sea during overlord. My son, who has special needs watches you amazing interviews with me. Today,he has returned from school after surprising his tutors with his knowledge and understanding on this historical event. Sadly he didn’t get to meet his great grand fathers but am sure they will be looking down with a prideful tear, as look up and say thank you.

Amen brother John, amen. The first love of my work, my first film documentary 21 years ago. ❤️
That was so moving. My father was on a gunship. He was Navy and didn’t get the test these brave men did, but he did his part and I asked him many times what it was like. But he never talked to anyone about it. Thats why I so love what you do. Thank you Larry. God bless.

One of my best comments, ever Charles. Thank you thank you. I'm appreciative of you and your thoughts this day. Very somber day for me. There will be a great reunion in Heaven for all these warriors and I hope to be there with them.

@@VoicesofHistory amen brother…my grandfather on dads side was an old regular preacher I never got to meet.
As always Larry you did a fantastic job. I don't know how you do it, staying so calm. I shed tears every interview that you do with these brave heros who served our country. The sacrifices that they gave and the ones who sacrificed all are an inspiration to me and many other americans. Some don't even care and that makes me sick.

John, such a great comment. Thank you for watching my first film that I produced 21 years ago. As I said most of these men are gone now. With tears I watched World War II Veterans still alive in France today being awarded the French medal for their service 80 years ago. Lest They Be Forgotten!!
Thank you Larry. Very sobering.

Thank you JOSEPH. My first film and probably one of my best. Such haunting memories from all these Veterans telling me their stories for the first time. I miss all of them.
Thanks again Larry for such a sincere, powerful and sometimes painful and emotional presentation. My Dad who passed away last year, served his Country of UK and I see his face and hear his voice in these soldiers and sailors. I'm so thankful for all who have served, died, survived and also for those who may face it in the future. Gentleman, Sirs, you have my respect and my eternal gratitude.
Thank you Larry these men left England knowing some of them were not coming home they loved America and would die for us to keep us free

Sheeew. That was a Tough one, thank you all, for a life long sacrifice, and thank you Larry. 🇺🇸🥹
Larry, well done. Your research, content and delivery truly honored the sacrifice of these warriors. You captured their agony, sorrows and memories to stand as a legacy testimony on what freedom costs and the sacrifice given so that we can all be free. Thanks for your passion and great editing as well.

How can you have only 57k subs! Great episode, thanks….have made 3 visits to Normandy…amazing. Thanks, Andrew
Larry, your documentation in priceless! Teared me up when one of the vets said that he flew the flag every day, just like my Filipino USN Pacific theater Grand Father. My Grandpa was so fiercely patriotic he never ever complained (or mentioned) his “Steward Class” while fighting in WW2. Fiercely AMERICAN DAMNMIT🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

True Larry, you cannot watch this without asking: Could I do what these heroes have done? Ultimately I don't know, but I know if I there surrounded by men like this I would stand a much better chance of moving forward.

Chet, you've got it. My fascination with the mindset of being 18 and 19 years old, landing on a beach under enemy fire. Could I have done it?
My father was in the pacific theater he got two sets of orders the first claimed go home he received another set he was going to Normandy his co tore the Normandy papers and burnt them

Larry Mieier,wr didnt firget about you and your friends and all who were there. Its a serious problem when our society forgets what these men did. Its a tragedy,if these men are not honored. I want you all to know, that you are all my heroes. I know those of you who were blessed enough to mske ut home dont feel like you are,but for someone like myself, who has never experienced anything like war,you are my heroes, and God bless you all.

If we had it to do over, what would we do differently. I'd like to know if anyone ever recorded the answer to this question.
I worked with a guy whose dad landed with the 29th. They watched "Saving Private Ryan." His dad said "Well, thats the closest a movie has come to the horror, but it wasn't even close." 🇺🇸🫡❤️

I agree. They cross the beach in 20 minutes in the movie. A somewhat good depiction but nothing like the real thing as you say and as my Veterans have voiced. Lest They Be Forgotten!!
